online or face to face, whats the diffrence?

HI!
i am currently looking into doing my cert 3 and 4 in fitness, i have been looking at doing this through FIA ( australia) online, just because it means i will be able to work while i study. do gyms look down on online courses? or do they have a good reputation? i just dont want to do the whole thing to fined that noone will hire me, any opinions would be helpfulll, thanks

I take correspondence courses with ISSA atm and must say the detail found in these courses along with the number of resources you are given outweigh going to live classes, plus you will become much more self-motivated by taking courses on your own.

When ever I have a question, I have access to an online forum where there is VERY VERY professional and timely responses. The detail, accuracy and professionalism found in this forum surprises me every time I use it.

IMO, the majority of certifications are offered off campus, therefore I believe gym do not look down on them but rather demand them most of the time.

Ask local gym owners what they think about the courses you plan on taking, can't go wrong and they will be more than happy to help you to choose one that works for you.

Hey!

I am doing my Cert III and IV through FIA as well! Online as well. I have found the gym to be OK as I have been a member there for a long time, and my PT is great, gives me opportunities to practise some stuff, even though my internship isn't until October. It just depends on who you get. My PT did it through FIA and online as well, and he is great at what he does. People see FIA and know that it's good.

Good luck. Have fun, I sure am :)
