I am new

My name is Bob and I am 43, married and have two kids. Getting back on track is important to me so that I can fight aging and feel better about myself.

Age 20-30 I was very active. I skied, went mt biking, hiked and was ALWAYS doing something. I was in the USAF at that time, it went with the military lifestyle.

Age 30-40 I was not near as active but because of my lean body and fast metabolism my need for exercise was not apparent to those around me, but I knew better.

Now that I am over 40 I have a beer belly but am still lean overall. That is what I hate the most is that I look and feel skinny and weak yet still have a belly.

Since mid December I have been using the elliptical trainer regularly and have cut out beer. I am considering P90X but cant really afford it right now. I have a TRX Pro suspension trainer that I like but dont use enough. My wife has turned me on to Tae Bo which I thought was girly but it kicks my butt.

I dont know what my body fat is but I hope to get down to an 'athletic' value. I need to get my BMI to 'normal'. Right now I am 6'1" and weigh 200+ which is not a terrible number but it depends on how you wear it.

Hi and welcome to big forum

Hi, I'm new too! You should definitly do P90X! I'm starting P90X on Sunday. I started a blog to track my progress. Check out my blog (click the link in my signature block or go to trek2befit.com), because I have a post on how you can get a discount on P90X. Let me know if you have any questions, need advice, etc.

Thanks,

Jonathan Register

I am in week 3 of P90x and really enjoying it. It is a solid workout. Just make sure you prepare yourself for success. Following the diet is key to success and almost more important than the exercises. Good luck and let me know what you decide.

This is a little bit late, but I finally finished my first round of P90X! I'm already doing another round of the program. I had some awesome results. I tried placing a link to show you, but the forum won't let me until I have 15 posts.

My blog is the same as my username. Have a good one!
