Newbie from Conway, Arkansas with a few questions.

Hey there everyone,

Im new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.. My name is Jerry, Im 23 years old and live in Conway, Arkansas. I stand 6'5" and weigh about 200 lbs. Im tall and skinny to say the least, although I do have a little bit of a gut.. Im fairly active and ride a bicycle from time to time, like once a month.. I just joined a gym and want to get serious about working out. My goals are first to become healthy cardio wise, I want to get my breathing right, then I would like to focus on toning out and then puttingon some muscle. Im not sure if thats the right order, but hopefully someone will inform me if not. I have a good frame for it plus I have plenty of time and I am goal oriented. Im open to any suggestions you guys may have. I was wondering what you guys would do if you were me, are there any fast track plans to get this started. Just needing a little help to get started, Im definitely no fitness guru, but I am a good learner.
 
Hello and welcome. I would suggest reading the stickies in each of the sections. There is a lot of really good information. After reading those, post what questions you might still have.


Side Note - I have family in Conway :)
 
Weight lifting is the fastest way to gain muscles.
Do cardio too but weight lifting is must if you want to gain muscles
Plus you'll get bored from cardio if you do it everyday and won't see much change in your body.:sport:
