Hello, fellow fitness-freaks!

Hey there! I thought I'd sign up after deciding to start taking my fitness more seriously than I have before. I am a senior in high school and run cross-country and track for my school. I'm not the fastest guy in the race, but hey, I try. Thats what counts, right? :)

I also considered running in college, but we'll see how I cope with the training. My current cross-country coach is very light-hearted, and hardly takes the sport seriously. Sometimes I think of him as a supervisor rather than a coach. :(

Well anyway, I'm rambling. I hope to see ya'll around the forums!

So what's the plan? Are you thinking of taking running more seriously or still just for fun?

I definitely plan on taking it more seriously. Hopefully I can get my 5k down to sub-18 this season. If not, I will do it over the summer in some of the runs I plan on participating in.
