I really really wanna do that

I've been overweight all over my life, m 30 now. I am tonight 102 KG (225 Lb). I am very aware of my problem and decided to look like the picture in the add above (8 packs).
That's very optimistic, I am starting late. I quit my Job currently and i have around 4 months to lose around 60 Pounds.

I am currently on a diet, and have like tons of questions. I used to lose like 25 pounds in one month on a diet, but now i am not able to do that. I used to smoke also, stopped now. Used to drink a lot, cut it by 90 %.

I have tried like 10 diets, each time i lose 30 pounds then i gain them again.
I am doing 40 minutes on the treadmill 4 times a week and playing soccer for 2 hours on the weekend.

I don't eat breakfast, have a light dinner, eat only fruits in the evening (mainly Apples & Oranges). If i am desperately hungry which i get a lot of times, i eat a little bit of cheese, just to calm my stomach.

do you have any encouragement tips? Anything would be a lot helpful.

One question, since the winter is coming, how can i go to do my training and go out of the club without getting sick? it's quite open around what the club, it is not closed.

Do you continue the diet after losing the weight or go back to old habits? The biggest thing to keep in mind is, there is no such thing as a diet. The diet will get the weight off, but will not keep it off. You need to make a lifestyle change to keep weight off once it is dropped.

I personally believe this to be a no-no. If you wish to skip a meal I would suggest skipping dinner rather then breakfast. Breakfast is, IMO, the most important meal and dinner is the least important. Make yourself something filling, but not huge, per se. Something high in fiber would be best. Be it oatmeal or an omlette with some veggies and such in it.

Cheese is a nice snack, but be weary it is loaded with calories. I used to eat a whole bar of Helluva Good colby jack late at night with a few crackers, till I actually checked the serving size and total calories. Fruits, veggies and nuts can be a good choice for small snacks to "fill" you between meals. If you can stomach them, slice up some peppers and have them as a snack during the day when you feel hungry, the fiber will help give you that full feeling and takes a bit more energy to digest then carbs.

Again, the biggest thing is, once the pounds are off, you need to continue doing what you have been doing or they will come back.

Losing sixty pounds in four months is an unrealistic goal. There is no healthy, sustainable way to do that. The only way would be a starvation diet, which would cause you to lose muscle, which will slow down your metabolism even further. Fifteen to thirty pounds would me a much more realistic goal. This is also why you keep gaining the weight back. You need to eat in such a way as to lose a pound or two a week, and eat that way FOREVER. As you get closer to your goal weight, your weight loss will slow and eventually stop. Even though you are consuming the same number of calories, your metabolism will be burning fewer calories since you will have less body mass to maintain. This slow, sensible approach is the way to SUSTAIN weight loss. You should never be "desperately hungry".

And I second the notion to not skip breakfast. That is hurting you, not helping you. Eat several small meals throughout the day, to keep your metabolism humming. So I say don't skip dinner EITHER. No way.

Sounds like you need to add in vegetables, as you only mention fruit.

Hope this helps, make it happen!

I have to disagree slightly here. I'm sure if he takes an all vegetable/fruit diet he can drop a reasonable amount of weight and still stay healthy. I do agree he's setting his goals higher then my own of 40 lbs./4 mos. which is pushing it a little.

There is a guy on youtube named Shay Carl and in his weightloss/diet routine he lost 20 pounds in 20 days on an all fruit/veggie diet and long bike rides. He started at about 280~ which would make him drop weight a bit faster, but still doable.

I do agree, it is risky, but if you are eating fruits and veggies exclusively, it's not a far fetched idea to pull it off. I do prefer the slow and steady way.

Unfortunately, calorie restriction/starvation diets will only get you so far because you body is super resilient and will make itself slow down to match the intake, or lack thereof.

My thing behind skipping dinner needs further explaination. I don't so much mean skip dinner as not eating a huge meal and being finished early in the evening several hours before you go to bed. I believe part of my weight gain was in part due to eating late into the night and sometimes literally right before bed. I highly agree with eating several small meals throughout the day. if you can manage 6 smaller meals during the day, you may not find a need to snack, which is where the majority of us get in trouble.

GL and keep us posted.

Too bad that I couldn't resist the Pasta lunch today with some cheese on it, I had a one portion intake, which is better, I am trying to skip dinner so i can undo my lunch, I know it is not something good to do, but ...

it's been around 7 hours now and I am not able to digest my pasta dinner.:sad3:

I hope I have better luck tomorrow,

Try to throw in some tuna when you eat pasta. It will help negate the empty carbs with some protien and ya just can't beat the omega's.

People read all those books because they're hoping for a magical solution to the fact that change is difficult. And a "Diet" doesn't accomplish anything because it's an artificial way of eating that almost nobody can stick to. So they either don't stay on it long enough or just gain the weight back.

^^ totally agree with last person..most people stick with diet till they lose weight..once they have achieved the goal they would go back to old diet and gain it right back..

Back to original question..look on biggest loser website...those people did some hardcore workout and shredded good amount of weight...may be this would help a little plus cut back 1000 calories in your diet.
