Bulking Fast, ok?

I have a quick question, is bulking fast unhealthy? I'm asking this because, I've been pushing myself on my eating rituals. I'm very skinny, so I decided to go all out. In the past week I gained about 9 pounds, went from 135 to 144, and my height is 5'11. Is this ok? or should I slow it down a bit?

I would slow down a bit. there is a chance that some of that weight is water. But it's not a good idea to gain too much weight as most of it will be fat. Try to bulk slower and go for something like 1lb a week. It might sound like a small amount, but the body can't make muscle very fast. You'll regret eating too much if you get fat. You're lean, so try to keep it that way while you go up in weight (though some fat gain will probably come)

9lbs is a little too high usually but if it’s your first week of eating this much then a few lbs of that is likely to be extra water retention anyway. I’d say that about 2lbs a week the most that you should be aiming for if you want to try and keep it mainly muscle gain. If you don’t mind fat gain though then by all means aim higher, but I’m not sure if that could ever be called ‘healthy’

Often when you pick up weight this quick it can b A) Higher water retention or B) Not sustained.
Generally if you want to keep it on then build it up slowly and solidly.
As they say Rome wasn't built in a day.

As mentioned before i think your can only ever gain 1lb of just muscle per week so with all the extra weight would be due to water weight. For me i would personally slow it down since gaining that much in a week might not be healthy and at the same time it might not be unhealthy.

Try not to force feed yourself to much.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to slow it down. My goal is to hit 170 within 6 months, it looks like its going to be tougher than I thought :/

Tougher? No. Slower? Yes.

Managing expectations is a huge part of this process. If you have unrealistic expectations, chances of reaching your goals are slim to none.

The "secret" to building muscle is finding that sweet spot, calorically speaking, where you're eating enough to facilitate muscle growth but not so much that you're out-eating your abilility to build muscle, thus storing a bunch of fat.

Finding that sweet spot takes trial and error and that's why measuring progress is critical.

Rates of muscle growth will vary depending on how long you've been training, age, genetics, diet, training, etc but the rate is almost always much slower than most trainees realize or expect.

True. But beginner gains are often the exact opposite-- that is, they always seem to defy and surpass expectations. 9 lbs in one week can be a lot of water weight.

Any majorly sudden change to the body is usually not that good for it. Gradual change is usually better as the body adapts better and is less likely to trigger any undesirable reponses. However that said if your relativly young and the diet it healthy (not based on powders and supplements) then you should be fine as long as you don't start taking it to extreames.
