New introduction.

Hi everyone, my name is Sabrina. Not sure where to start first. It appears i am doing an overhaul. I am a 39 y.o. woman that was laid off at the beginning of the year and although I knew that I was not thin at 200 and 5'9" I seemed to be packing on more pounds. At 210, I decided that I did not want to sit back and let obesity overtake me. It was bad enough I was smoking. Well, I quit smoking the first week in June and began to do some walking. Despite the fact that I think that I may have gotten a stress fracture on my left foot because it began to hurt on one of my walks and can be really tender upon walking even for a short distance. That has kept me from doing as much as I know that I can, having previously been a gym brat before my operation in 2006. I have found some relief with shoe inserts in my athletic shoes that allow me to continue to walk and even run for short amounts of times due to the fact that I have not yet reached the level of stamina that will allow me to run for an extended period of time. But I feel good overall and will be here reading and looking for suggestions. I have done a regular walk light run hour for two weeks now thanks to the inserts. I do some lunges and squats, I love those. I do some upper body work with 4lb weights, I like the arm work but hate the shoulder work I think those are my weakness. I seriously cannot do a pull up or push up to save my life but will do biceps curls and triceps dips all day. I do some core work but have been trying to keep it to a minimum because i want to burn the fat around the midsection before sculpting the abs. I think my biggest problem to overcome is my diet I eat like I am still working, sometimes forgoing meals until later in the day. This i have been working on i make sure I eat a meal (usually oatmeal) in the morning when i wake whether I walk or not that day, as opposed to the coffee until I get hungry but that's about as disciplined as it gets. Any suggestions?
