In need of serious support!

It has been so long since I have been on a forum or excersizing! I had a car accident in September it put me outa work and way outa shape. I am starting school to finish my Bacelors on Monday! I go back to work in about a month. I have an extremely physical job so when I go back I am gonna be tired. My goal...to lose all this weight I have gained and to get that muscular look I once had way back when! I use to wear a size 32 now I where a 42! It's time to do something. I have some dumbells and some bands I got at the Physical therapist. I use to (years ago) lift weights 3 times a week and run 10 miles every other day. I hope it's true that muscles have memory cause if not...hmm it's gonna suck. Ok any suggestions? I have about 30 minutes a day to workout I figure...I will be goin to school full time, work full time and have a kid! But hey it's never a good time right? So no more procrastination...Help?! Please?!

Welcome Tymber, I'm new as well and I understand your concern with balancing exercise with everything going on in your life. Just take a deep breath and tell yourself that no matter how hard, tired, un-interested you are, that you ARE going to make that change for the better. Set your mind on it, and it will be acheived.

I'd say to just make sure you get the most out of the 30 minutes you get each day. Remember that you may not see really quick results early on, but keep challenging yourself each workout to improve on something. That helped me to get through the first month or so - once you start to see results it is really exciting and easy to keep it up.

That's great that with all you have going on you're still making time to exercise. Congrats! I would suggest using your 30 mins. per day for cardio such as running, swimming, cycling, etc. Also, many people have spare time they don't realize they have. Little things such as lifting weights while watching tv or wearing ankle weights while going about your daily routine could really help. A quote that helps me when I feel too busy to work out is, "There is someone busier than you working out right now."

I hope it helps! Good luck

You should choose some type of cardio and weight training program to do. If you don't know yet, then look at the threads and read them. If you have questions, you should state them specifically so people can help you. But, I have found most of my answers by reading the threads and articles on here.

Good luck!
