Deadlift Sub

I hurt my back doing deadlifts a few months ago. I usually started my back day with these, them followed them with bent over rows, then wide grip pullups or wide grip pulldowns.

Is there another exercise that i can work into this routein cause i'm a little nervous to do deadlifts. I actualll tried to do it again a month after the injury, but i got the same pain.

Any suggestion are helpful

I would avoid deadlifts for a bit then and focus on other exercises that emphasize core strength: overhead squats w/ a broom stick (try them facing a wall so you don't lean forward), front squats, back extensions... Once you start to feel more comfortable with the condition of your back/core, ease back into light weight deadlifts and work your way back to your normal lifts.

good ideas, i have been doing back extensions, but i tried leg lifts and they hurt my back, the squat in front of the wall is a good idea.

thanks
