To all you animal protein, atkins diet etc fans

In case you didn't see it. I'll post it again.

See thats my point. Instead of fighting over an idea that is best for EVERYBODY why don't people do what works for them?

If you notice that you are healthier eating-read meat and a high fat/protein diet. And that your strength increases, your cholestrol goes down, etc. Then eat meat.

If you notice your blood pressure or cholestrol rises, then don't eat meat.

You people are trying to generalize everything, and its not like that because everyone is different. I've met people who went on the Anabolic diet eating tons of eggs, red meat, fatty foods ( not processed ) and their health dramatically improved.

I've also met people that went on the same diet and their blood pressure and cholestrol went through the roof.

So, make experience your science. Thats my point.

Just because your weak and **** and prefer to eat salads and apples all your life doesn't mean the rest of us have to as well.

Toooooootooooooooooo

Actually there's quite overwhelming evidence that red meat is associated with disease - particularly colon cancer. You only have to type it in google to save me from posting it.

We aren't designed to eat red meat anyway, contrary to what many people believe. So show me your proof Phate you dumbc***. ;)

explain please, why aren't we designed to eat red meat?
How do we know it's not something in the processes by which we humans prepare meat that is dangeoraus? What the animals eat, etc, etc.

Whats wrong with processing and preserving food? if it wasnt for those chemicals we would all be killing our food by morning and trying to eat it before nightfall. or maybe submerging it in salt or vinagar. Thank God for chemicals!

I've read the book. There is a good amount of research in it and it draws some logical conclusions, some good conclusions, and a whole lot of dumb conclusions. I found it overstates a lot of things and exaggerates many of its claims. It's really a narrow minded, depersonalized, over-simplified, and over-stated set of research backed conclusions that are really not what is always best for one's health.

Aren't designed to eat meat? What? We are omnivores, if we weren't designed to eat meat, we wouldn't be able to. This is an example of an over-simplified and over-stated conclusion, of which there are many in the book. We are genetically/evolutionarily hunter-gatherers, meaning we should be eating meat, nuts, fruits, veggies, whatever is available. Just because we are much better at digesting fruits and veggies than meats does not mean we should not eat meat. We are unable to digest fiber too; should we cut that out of our diets? We only recently attained the enzymes to digest milk; a lot of the population is still lactose intolerant; should we stop drinking milk? The book has some good info in it, but don't read too much into the bull**** they try to sell you.

If you want good health then put the natural healthy foods in, and keep the sugary and over-processed foods out... pretty simple.

No one's saying to never eat meat; but to predomitely eat fruits, veges, nuts etc. We Don't have claws, sharp teeth etc, it's only because of our intelligence that we are capable of caputuring and eating meat.

You mention that we aren't able to digest fibre too, isn't that implying that we can't digest meat? - because that would be untrue.

I like the thickness. Just looks under cooked to me, or is the inside supposed to be that red...

It looks overcooked to me, there should at least be a little blood dripping

p.s. This thread sucks, but I love Focus and Limestix a little more :D

certain meats may not be good for you, but certain berries will certainly kill you. So which should we really avoid?

I love me a rare steak... extra blood.

They just bleed thorns. Even more when trying to remove them... Not very nutritious.

**** nutrition.

I'd eat a bowl of thorns for breakfast, lunch and dinner if it would help me bench like those vikings who keep breaking world records.
