New here....

Hi all, my name is Ashley. I'm 22 and currently sitting at 121.8 lbs and i'm 5'2. My weight doesn't bother me, although I'm used to being between 100-110 lbs (my weight fluctuates a lot). I've never exercised or been to a gym, so I'm not exactly sure where to start. I'm not looking to lose weight, only to tone up, get in better shape, and feel and look better.

I've read about all the types of workouts such as Yoga, Pilates, Jazzercise, etc, but I'd prefer to do things that I can do at home. My SO does own a bowflex and I just recently bought some small weights, not sure if any of that will do much good.

Any advice on how to get started or things I can do would be appreciated!

Thanks :D

Welcomeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

Stick around, you can get LOADS of advice from people here ;)

Hello Ashley and welcome. There are various stickies on body weight exercises, which you can do at home, nutrition and cardio activities.

Talk to your SO and ask him/her to show you how to properly use the bowflex. Partner up together with the machine to motivate each other. Motivation is the biggest factor IMO.

Welcome, I do everything from home out of necessity. You can go a long ways getting started with a bowflex. Kudos to working out with SO, you can watch each others form and make sure you stay on task. Good luck.
