Weigth loss help- i think i am doing somethign wrong?

Hi,

Ok let me first start with a bit about myself. It was 2years ago when i was 20 years old, i weighed 110kgs. Before that i had never taken workout seriously or was never interested in loosing weight. My family members were very worried about my increasing weight so they asked our family doctor to motivate me and he did a very good job. I started light workout with very strict diet plan for a month. I went down from 110 to 104 i one month. After seeing this result and the appreciation i recieved from my gym mates, family members and the doctor, i made up my mind to kill the complete body fat. I hired a personal trainer in the gym and he did a fantastic job. I started going gym twice a day and skipped the dinner. Me and others could easily notice the changing shape in my body. After around 6months of excersice and very very strict diet plan i finally came down to 75kgs. I was very happy, but i knew i had around 10-15 more kgs to go cauz i stand 5.7". But due to increasing pressure of studies i cut my gym down from twice a day to once a day and then alternate dayz and it completely stopped. Now i am 22 and i weigh 85kgs. I know i have put on 10kgs in one and half year, but i have also put on lots of inches on my waist and thigh. Last month i decided to start everything again. I went to the same gym again and asked for the same trainer, but he has left.
Now my problem is i just lost 2kgs in the past month by following the same routine and just lost 1inch on my waist and 1/2 on my thighs. I know its just a start, but with the effort and hard work i am putting, i feel very dissipointed. I soetimes feel its the new trainer who doesnt know what he is doing, but then he makes me do similar exercies only. This is my present routine. This is the same i used to follow 2years ago

8:00 i wake up, warm water and apple
8:30 gym- 4dayz cardio/ 3 dayz weight training
10:00 get out of gym and carry the normal routine
1:30: lunch as adviced by the dietician
4:30: apple+ carrot juice+ sprouts
7:00 again i hit the gym- 7 dayz cardio
9:00 out of gym

so i skip dinner and just lunch and 3hrs after. This plan had worked before, but it doesnt seem working now.

When i do cardio in morning, this i what i follow:

5mins warm-up
20mins treadmill- running for 10mins and 10mins fast walking at high incline
30mins elliptical- 2 different programs with average resistance(15mins each)
10mins cycling- low resistance
20mins staircase trainer- i climb ard 100floors
10mins more treadmill to finish- fast walking with high incline

Evening cardio includes
40mins elliptical
30mins treadmill- running for 10mins and walking for 20
20mins cycling- low resistance
10mins of more elliptical
10mins of more treadmill to finish

Thank you very much for your replies, any advice will be much appreciated.

1 inch is progress. A reasonable goal for general health is a waist measurement (around the navel) of half your height or less.

But it looks like you are eating only one meal per day (lunch -- and what does it consist of?) and two small snacks. Are you eating enough calories to stay out of starvation mode?

I can't identify one single source of protein or fat. That is very bad. Read around here, there's lots of excellent information that can help you.

P.S. - Your dietician sounds like a fool. How do you lift or run after eating an apple? How are you even alive during the day, that looks like 500 calories or something.

I agree with teh above. Even though you are trying to lose weight, you are not giving your body enough fuel to make it comfortable to give up the precious fat. 2 kg's in a month isn't terrible, but I'd bet you'd get better results if you ate more. One member here--BSL--calls it voodoo dieting, but it's true! :)
