New around here, looking for some help on my journey!

A little bit of info about myself.

I'm just about to turn 20 years old in July. Being that I'm only 3 years out of highschool now, I'm pretty ashamed of the shape that I've let myself get into. The college lifestyle certainly hasn't helped much. In highschool I considered myself to be fairly athletic, never in the best of shape, but I was never really fat. My father's side of the family has a history of diabetes and that is NOT something I want to experience for myself.

Now I feel like I'm at a bit of a turning point, where I'm ready to whip myself into shape. I'm not necessarily looking to become a bodybuilder or get myself the perfect abs or anything like that. I just want to get myself back to a healthy, respectable weight... and then from there we'll see what happens.

The problem for me right now is, I have no idea where to start. So that's where I'm hoping that the fine denizens of this board can help me out a bit. I'm going to need assistance putting together some sort of a gameplan for a weekly workout schedule. The diet, I think I may be able to figure out, but if someone could help me there as well, I would appreciate it greatly also. I'm not sure if this is the place on the forum to be posting this, but oh well.

So I hope I didn't bore you with all of that. Hopefully I'll have some great progress to share with you all.
