Changing Schedule: Do I need to change diet?

Hi there, it has been a while since I've posted...

I got a promotion at work and now have to change my schedule drastically. I was trying to exercise in the morning, but now I won't be able to exercise until around 4-5 PM. I've read somewhere that you need to change your diet a little if you exercise at night. Is there any truth to this?

Let me know if you need me to post my diet (or you can check one of my previous posts), but basically I get my carbs in the morning and my fat later in the day.

Sorry for the quick post, will post more later if need be. Thanks for the help!

Well, here is a link to what my current schedule is:

Do I need to adjust my carb/fat intake if i'm going to be exercising at night?

Ya know.....

Some argue that cardio & exercise should be done in the morning to get your metabolism fired-up and running through the day.

And others feel you eat during the day and exercise later gives you a chance to burn-up some of those calories and extend the metabolic kick into the evening.

My nutrionist says it doesn't really matter....in fact, he says it's more like "how much have you consumed in a week, how much have you expended in a week"....don't live in the micro-moment; it's the grand picture that counts.

All things considered, I concur with JW...just make sure you replenish to the tune of 80% calories exerted....with a balanced meal of protein, whole carbs and a nice piece of dark chocolate to top it off. So long as you eat right, exercise and walk the path of fitness...you're on the right track.

And just to make sure you know I'm serious, here's a smiley face! :D
