Todays afternoon pics

It has been changed, Silent. :)

No need to apologize. You don't have to if you don't want. It just I can see someone in the future getting a tad "uncomfortable" with the original picture.:p

my son says you look tougher than his GI Joe! that's a compliment for real when it's coming from a 12 year old. TJ has long lean muscle,, he sas your knotty and tough! good work ya old geezer!!

ROTFL!!!!!!!!!

To look through the eyes of a 12 year old and see the splender of innocence and the miraculous serenity of their heart:

However:

he is as blind as a fricken BAT! :) :p :)

After several days of deliberation, reviewing my personal journal for the past year or so, looking over the caloric equations in correlation to body responses, and weight training schedules and journal, I have decided to stay lean, but attempt to move toward 160 as the main body weight composition.

I love the way I feel and my body pays me back everyday. I do not want to go through the "FLIP" equation (as I call it) that bulking is going to require.

So, I am going to gain about 5 to 6 pounds, without any added fat content. One may consider this a bulk of sorts, but it really isnt. My body has been in a caloric deficit (theme) for quite some time, and the introduction of a slow and methodical zig-zag over time, should slowly give me the results I seek when considering my bodily responses to defict and overage attributable to the MT line.

Oh, OK you're 5'7. I wondered how you could be so light and still look like that. I know a guy that's 5'7 and about 210. He looks like a damn ogre. I'm about the same weight as him at 6'1 and have a relatively slender look.

You may look different in clothes, but from what I can see I wouldn't mess with what you have. Post a pic of yourself in a t-shirt maybe we'll have a better frame of reference.

I currently fit in 30" (and man there hard to find, most of the time I have to settle for 31" docker khackis for work, cause 30 is hard to locate sometimes).

I will post a pic with a regular t-shirt on and 30" inch pant khackis. My chest is more flat looking in say a pull-over shirt it lacks the fullness if you see where I am getting at.

5'7" may be closer to 5' 6" and 10" or something like that. I just just seem to carry it well.

Even when I weighed close to 190 (36 to 38 pant), I seemed to carry the weight well, though over weight. Over 20 years of eating crap prior to my personal quest change, I only gained 25lbs in 20 years never lifted a weight or dieted. That speaks alot in my body's efficiency. That averages out to be just over 1lb a year wgt gain. That was interesting to me considering the way I ate (like total crap-ola)

I was a police officer for 12 years (I wasnt going to mention this, because I dont want to change persons perceptions), and we had to meet certain physical agility standards, and it was never hard for me, as it was mostly pushups, obstacle course, and other stuff like that)

The reason I am not in it no more: I answered a bar fight 2am in the morning, my backup was 20 to 25 minutes away, and I stepped inbetween the two fighting, and didnt see the left hand of the person on my left, and he hit me with the back thick part of a pool cue, and knocked all of my front teeth out and 4 on the bottom. My wife said, me or your career. I chose her. Judge gave hime 16 years in prison for this and other drug charges.

I thank you for the comments.

It has been and still is a difficult journey. Perfect no, there is no such thing.

Im still not happy and I think, now, I may never be. My scrutinizing ass.

I dont have the intent on vainess when posting the pics, but rather stating that if an old soon to be 46 year old, old fart, can do it, others can to. And, I am on a quest to assist them through it. In my heart and in my soul, this is my goal in every post I make. I dont come across good sometimes, but my intent is good.

I just finished a record week for me, in a 7 day period for cycling cardio with 15. Thats an average of 2 aday plus one. One day I did three. Gonna flip the ratios of the zig-zag, and reduce cardio to 2 to 3 a week (a reasonable amount), as Last week I saw a drop in body wgt, .1/2 lb, just killing that lower stubborn end (thank you DIET!), but not without some sacrifices.

I am moving to 3s--4d, now. Fat loss has slowed (which is what I want), but the zag portion isnt enough and cardio was too high (of course, I did this on purpose though). Now, I increase 1 day surplus, deduct 1 day deficit, and carefully select the overage and deficits. Im trying to squeeze myself into getting out of the deficit state (or body using itself for energy most of the time), and into near 50% anabolic state. I'll see how this goes for about a week, if not what I want, I move to 4s and 3d---from my data, its going to be one or the other (either 3 to 4 or 4 to 3), and when I see an improvement, I will stay there for about 4 weeks or so probably 6 week cycle, which is what my body seems to run. I have a small bit of fat I could gain and live with---but not much will be tolerated. We shall see how it goes on these ratios.

Now its time to Chillout on some Natural Peanut Butter mixed with oatmeal (sounds like a bulk eat doesnt it?), NOPE.......fits the equation of caloric deficit today. 2morrow is surplus day or +350. I have to restructure my focus (I thought I would never say that)

lol chillen. you have some crazy advanced ways of losing that fat. i cant believe you are still cutting! you already have the perfect 6 pack man!

Zig-zag dieting isnt a new concept. I have modified it to myself, while trying to increase some muscle this day forward, but I do NOT want the fat, so Im easing into the zig zag approach very slowly. Im happy with they way I am, just want a small bit in the chest area (and I have to introduce a small caloric surplus for this to happen)--so Im taking my time. Thats all I have is time.

Thanks for the comment, PB. I dont think I will ever be happy, but Im working on it. Theres been a post in the chillout section for you, by the way.

Man you look great, a real inspiration to the rest of us I think! Helps some of us to see what the hard work can eventually produce, and that sort of encouragement is needed sometimes especially when you are starting out and totally working your ass off at the gym and diet.

Hey, Smithmachine!

If you look in the introduction thread, I posted a March 03, 2006 (about 10lbs of fat left), but I was about 2 months into my diet and training then, approx.

I had a minor stint of "stupidness" last year, when I approached bulking in the wrong manner. (8 weeks). My fat loss was SLOW on purpose. I can give a more acurate depiction after I do cardio (in about 5 min I start), but off my cuff, I would say all total, ending in December 17, pic (which is also in same thread), about 6 to 7 months, with upper caloric rages (-300), weeding out the 8 week period, and weeks prior to march 03, 06. It could have been faster, if I held higher deficits, but I didnt want to make the other sacrifices this would bring.

I finally found that pic...Your abs looked awesome then too LOL

Here is the pic below. If you look at the lower ab region, there is still about 10 lbs of lower ab fat, and some work to do yet!.....And I got it OFF! Baby!
It was a bastard...but I am the bastard around here. There is only room for one of those........pssssssssst........!

Then if you look at the pics at the beginning of the thread....HUGE difference, BABY!........THATS RIGHT IT CAN BE DONE! ;)
