Is it possible...

hey there!

I was just wondering if its possible to lose body fat, have fun and still be able to enjoy your food?
What're your opinions on this? Does weight loss really have to be a chore?

Thats pretty much it, short, sweet and to the point :p

First we need to know your lifestyle and what you do for fun.

Personally, I'm a drinker. Being a college student, I like to get piss drunk on the weekends and just let go of everything, including a diet. As long as you can manage at least 6-7 hours of sleep, eat a solid breakfast and post workout meal, you are good. You will find that you will be having more fun once you lose that blubber in preparation for the summer :p

Here are some simple (*personal*) tips that make weight loss easy.

1. Cardio in the morning if possible.
Just do it, get it out of the way, and get on with your day. You will forget you even did it and it will boost your energy for the whole day.

2. Instead of lifting light weights 3-4 times a week, lift twice a week HEAVY. This will still retain your muscle mass, and give you plenty of time for muscle recovery (ex. Tues & Fri)

3. If you buy your own food for your house, buy only 100% healthy items.
This way, even when you have a craving, it wont be possible to attain say... a nice slice of cake, f*** that. Also, there are was a recepies online that taste great, and are perfect for weight loss meals. Here are some

4. Have fun outside.
Spring is close, what better place to have fun than to go outside with some friends and do something active? Avoid "movie nights" or sitting around watching sports, PLAY THEM YOU LAZY ****!!!

5. Take supplements for function or even placebo.
Some work, some don't, nevertheless, you will *think* they help which matters most. If you are willing to spend money on supps, you will be willing to get your money's worth by using them properly (with diet and exercise)
Check out Hydroxycut, Lipo-6, Hot-Rox Extreme, or an EC+Green Tea Extract stack.

6. Find some friends or get your friends to go to the gym with you. Its great for support and motivation.

7. Let yourself go one day a week.
This is an easy and fun way of making sure your body wont go into starvation mode and your metabolism stays fast. But all the other days, you better be dieting or I will come over there and kick your lilly ***!

Those are the main ones that I use, they have all helped. Hopefully someone more creative than I can also come up with some good tips.

In short, yes, weight loss is a core, and your body will hate it (unless you are 100+lbs overweight, then it will love you :p) It will take pain, suffering, and you will have to make sacrifices.

I sometimes get criticism by fatsos and idiots who say its girlie to diet or I dont eat like a man anymore, or im a health freak. Just smash their face in with your fist and move on, **** them.

But like anything good in life, its not free, and takes WORK to get. Good Luck.

Depends on what your idea of fun is and what your idea of food that you enjoy is.

If watching TV while eating chips, pepperoni pizza, beer, and super size sodas is your idea of fun, then losing body fat could well be a chore.

If competing in individual or team sports, running marathons, cycling centuries, setting personal records in the weight room, hiking up and down the mountains, etc. is your idea of fun, and eating vegetables, fish, fruits, and legumes gets your taste buds excited, then keeping the body fat off is likely a natural side effect of doing what you like.

Does weight loss really have to be a chore?

Well...there's sorta 2 kinds of people in the world.

There are those who don't have much drive towards eating. They skip meals, hardly finish their plate and don't seem all that interested in satisfying any semblance of hunger. You know these people, they usually complain that they just can't seem to put-on weight and they brag about how much they can pound it down and not gain an ounce. For these people, weight-loss just isn't a chore.

For the rest of us, yeah: weight-loss is a b*#%h!!!

Thats pretty much it, short, sweet and to the point :p
