Super abbreviated routines question

Just interested about super abbreviated routines and if they are any good?

For example something like:

Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift... 3 sets 8-12 reps... 3 times a week

And maybe ONE (only one!) isolation on top of that like curls.

Are these routines that i have seen on some sites stupid? or could you build muslce with just the 3 basic powerlifting exercises? Would you grow out of proportion (no shoulders, lats etc...)

(Assume good bulking diet)

You would for sure grow.. Lats are hit minimally in DLs. IMO if you were going to do that and add 1 more exercise per workout I would rotate between PullDowns & MP.
