23 and have had arthritis for 11 years

im just wondering if anyone here has got arthritis too.. it effects the joints and well is quite hard to keep doing running... i have started walking every morning at 7am for an hour. but really walking is that going to do anything i really do not think its going to do much...

i have JCA (juvenile chronic arthritis) and have it in all my joints except back and neck.. i cant do push ups as my arm joints cant take it....

i would say im not everweight, but have a chubby tummy, just wondering i plan to start swimming when i finish uni, and got a job, i cant afford to otherwise. not really sure what else i can do to imroove general fitness... i dont drink alcohol or smoke. but also dont do much actively as my work means i am mostly sitting down designing, carving...

well thats all..

I have it in my fingers. My girlfriend has had JRA since she was born, it sucks, but it happens. Monoclonal antibody medications are in stage 2 and stage 3 of clinical testing..

Swimming is a great activity. Depending on how bad it is an eliptical machine may be an option also. I would perfect your diet, as that would be your main path to where you want to go.
