Booty Baby Flab to Fab Journal

Hi People:D am looking to get my health back and get more muscular while losing the weight too, have been overweight now for 3yrs and have just about had it! Anyway enough of the rant lol will be adding more later:).
Just to log my measurements, which as of 21/10/07 are:

height 5'3,
203lb (92kg)
Bust 41in
Waist 39in
Hips/Butt 50in
Thighs 29in
BMI 36.0

yes I know i'm fat LOL.
Not too bad today, did some excercise, managed 2pieces of fruit and kept away from the takeaways though did have a few glasses of wine and 2 V&C's sooooo....try an avoid that next time!

i too would like to know what your diet plan is,since i am about your height ,but a little less weight, i have got to lose some 15kgs,i am60/61kgs:(
i managed to reach 47kgs but then gained all back..blah!!!!

My diet is now with alot of restrictions which I had to impose because my health is now out of control:boxing_smiley:so i'm battling with it at the moment:D!
It consists of a light breakfast and dinner, i'm really only allowed a meal of solid carbs at lunch as in any bread or pasta etc.
At breakfast am allowed carbs only if in say a low fat yog or cereal/milk etc, at lunch I can have a meal but a reasonable portion, and for dinner no solid carbs just grilled meat and salad or similar. It's said that carbs burn way slower after 3pm which is why none for me in the evening.
Other restrictions are the portions, I can only have a reasonable plateful and no more, definitly no seconds!lol
Also have to have a piece of fruit with breakfast and one with lunch minimum, and a salad/some veg with dinner.
Time is another thing, I have to have had dinner before 7pm no later.
Also only snacks allowed are fruit/veg during the day as much as I want, and 2L water minimum.
I've removed completely from my diet anything fried at all, Only grill or boil from now on:D!
Also cut out all fizzy/sugary drinks, only water and 100%fruit juice.

Now for workouts!lol
At home i've a Treadmill, LTT, and a 6secondsAbs, want to get some dumbells too but for now its all I have so am starting to put it to use, I try hard to stick to 500steps 50crunches and 10mins running, per day. Though I do slip up sometimes:(
I had finally started this new eating and excercise plan a few weeks back but slipped but am now back on track again:D!

Hi People:) i'm back lol and still struggling with the weight thing, my weight is pretty much same as a month ago when I started this journal and am gonna keep it up now till those pounds start dropping and this butt starts firming up:D! i've put my weight in my signature(cos it didnt allow a ticker:()and will update it everytime I lose a kilo, also been logging it in the weight tracker, and here comes a brand new week!
thanks everyone for the advice and comments:) to answer a few questions, the diet restrictions r that I have to cut out all the crap and only eat what my body needs, because although I love chocolate chips and alcohol for example when eaten in excess I get health problems such as my fitness levels go down I can't climb a flight of stairs without running out of breath and I hate it, my periods have gotton heavier and I get bad period pains ever since I gained weight(I never had these before so I assume its becuase of the weight gain and unhealthy eating/lack of excercise over the past 3yrs, I was always generally fit and healthy before that so have noticed these changes only since I gained all this weight), my skin has gone bad, I feel tired and get headaches, my sleep pattern is all messed up etc, also I have gotten alot of cellulite since and it has really hit my confidence as in I where dark baggy clothes now to hide it and make it look less visible, I get this whole 'beauty is on the inside' thing but its just not for me, I hate being fat it doesnt suit my lifestyle I just want to b able to run up a flight of stairs again without running out of breath and I want rid of all this tiredness headaches period pains bad skin and cellulite:(! All of which I never had before. I just want to get my health back:boxing_smiley:!
The carbs burning slower after 3pm I read in the training booklet which came with the 6second abs, and the no eating meals after 7pm is simply because thats when I stop being active, 7pm is when i'm home have finished everything and just put my feet up so I figure am burning way less carbs then, i'm not out in the night with my friends anymore since having my baby 2yrs ago so it also depends on lifestyle if people are still active till the early hours like I was b4 then thats different, I myself if I eat after 7 I feel stuffed and heavy and its harder for me to sleep whereas if I eat a few hrs before I feel lighter and no headaches during the nite.
The excercise I have to work on too again, i've really let myself go this past few weeks but its a new week and am back on track(dammit I have o stop making all these excuses:boxing_smiley:LOL)!
Still am not too disappointed because even though havent lost a great deal have not gained any.
Thanks everyone again for the advice and what I really want to work on what really concerns me the most is my stomach, so any tips on excercises and diet for it will be helpful:) its stretched alot since I was pregnant 3yrs ago and the overeating after didnt help at all, am worried now that when I lose the weight the skin wont tighten and itll look all saggy:(! any excercise i can do for that area alone??? :cool:

great title for your log! great comments! a super sense of humor!! "yes I know I'm fat" hahahahahah LOL!!! you are the type of person that will BEcome what you hope to BEcome.

One thing!! with the lazzefair view of thing (which I have 10 fold) it is also easy to wing it and blow our fitness plans. Try to be diligent in this area for a time, then the results will compell you to stay with it.

I once said, "yes, I realize I'm a slob" (240lbs of pure crisco)ahhahaaha

and today I can say "yes I realize I'm one fit mofo!"

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce fat, and it's probably likely that the fat around the midsection will be the last to go. As for the skin, you may have to cross that bridge when you get to it, depending on how much weight you want to lose and how quickly it comes off.

Do you do any resistance/weight training at all? A full body program might help you shed those unwanted fat pounds and help add some muscle.

Congrats on making the decision to turn your life and health around. Consistency and discipline will be your greatest allies in the struggle.
 
Running 10 minutes a day is a good start. Are you totally winded after that? If so, walk another 30 minutes after running, no matter how tired you are. Running and then walking will elevate your heart rate which is good cardio work but will also speed up weight loss.

You did not become obese (yes, sorry to say, but you meet the criteria for obese) overnight and you will not become fit and lean overnight either. Make tomorrow the first day of the "new" you who practices better eating habits and exercises daily and all will turn out in the end. I promise.
 
Thanks again everyone for the advice:) UPDATE: I said new week then went and stuffed my gob again after:argue: am very disappointed with myself but have now definitly picked myself back up again today and am so far sticking to it:jump1:!
It's not that I ate anything unhealthy, when I said a month back i've cut all sugary/fried foods I meant it and haven't touched them since and its a permanent thing too, I know having a bite or so now and then won't harm but I can't control myself with them:eek: so am steering clear altogether:newangel:
It's that I ate too much last two days and too many carbs no fruit and no excercise:mad:, I have to start controlling my portions am thinking even on going on those ready microwave meals for a bit, am starting again today to impliment the workouts too, will do minimum 30mins running on the treadmil per day and some walking after(which i've never done b4 usually after a run I just sit down:eek:) gotta start eating the fruit too.... again didn't sleep good, before when I used to sleep I slept good and when awake I was very awake but now always tired and groggy and can't wait for the day when I start feeling like I used to! not too far away I hope.....:)!

Drink more water and it will help with those sudden gorge out impulses. Use a gallon jug, and just determine to finish one a day no matter what. It really will help, and the other benefits are too long to list.

Another thing, even though it's quite easy to do - don't freak out over a misstep here or there. So long as the majority of your meals and workouts are good you'll make progress. And you've the rest of your life to do it in, so relax a bit and enjoy the ride.
 
Hi People:)! been sticking to it better and better everyday, slipped up and had a choc bar a few days ago which I regretted but not had any since, slipped up on the running for about 3days too but am back on track and doing 15mins per day minimum and am trying to start to do 20, trying to stick to the fruit eating too and am managing about one a day so far:eek:drinking alot of water tho:)! Am also switched to ready meals to control the portion thing:yelrotflmao:
I know I shouldn't and all that but am also supplimenting with diet pills, i've started taking hoodia since yesterday because it helps with the cravings and really DOES supress my appetite so makes the getting used to smaller portions easier, also saw some 'lipotropic fat burning pills' on ebay so bought them and been taking them since yesterday too, probably shouldn't and most likely they wont work but i wanna give it a shot anyway, if they do burn some fat then why not and not like i'm substituting them for a healthy diet/lifestyle just taking them alongside for any affect they might have and once i'm down to my target weight won't need them anymore!
My stomach tho is a constant worry it hangs down and am worried it'll never get up and in again and i'll b left with excess skin hanging down, but am now sure that if by the time i reach my target weight it isnt flat again am definitly getting a tummy tuck to fix it:D!
Anyone have any tips also for excercise to tighten the chest muscle:confused:

As for the chest muscle excercises, push ups, um....crap..I can't think of the proper name for the excercise, but you lay down and you have weights in your hand. Press them to the ceiling, then lower them....ugh....WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT DAMN THING?! Anyway, LOL those are two.

New Year New Body!

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION......FIT INTO A PAIR OF SKINNY JEANS:biggrinsanta:!
I been so busy past few weeks havent been able to update but been good:D! Ate alot of chocs over xmas was my slip-up but am back on track! Am now eating the right foods my problem is still portion control but am getting there slowly but surely:)!
My other slip-up has been the workouts just havent been doing any:(but there's no excuse and it being the new yr am just gonna pick-up again:
My chubby legs have started to show shape again from the weight loss I know i havent lost much yet but its visible so am happy bout that:D! My butt is also a little firmer and my face is looking less round my skin is clear and I feel lots more energetic:beerchug:!
No way am I ever going back to that way of eating for 3yrs its ruined my body but now i'm back on track, still fat but not for long:D! I feel so energetic and alive just like I used to before i turned to fatty foods, it's difficult getting off that food but SO WORTH IT! and miracle of all miracles i'm actually enjoying eating Veggies again:biggrinsanta:!
