New Member with ? for regulars

Hello everyone I have just joined this site. I was hoping some of the members here could help answer a question I have.

I have been doing the p90x ab ripper program because I only really care about getting my abs tight and cut. Well I have been doing it for about 2 months now, every other day. I have read that you have to switch up exercises every 6 weeks or your muscles will dramatically slow down in growth. So I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this ab routine and if I can keep doing it or if I should switch it up to another set of exercises for 6 weeks and then switch back.

Thanks for any feedback you guys can give

i would personally place your ab ripper on ebay in the hope of selling it to a very gullible person.
then you should read a few of the stickies on here and incorporate a full body workout it WILL benifit you more than the ab ripper i promise if not you can hold me soly responsibly once again good luck and welcome.:)

:yelrotflmao:

So you don't think the 'ass-master 4000' I bought will be any good either?

thank you guys for the responses but ab ripper is not a toy or something it is a series of workouts from the p90x series. It is yogo influenced and focuses on core, abs, and even legs. So with that in mind does anyone have any advice on my question of ab muscles not developing because they are used to the exercises

Personally, I am not going to answer questions about your an routine until I learn about your the circumference of your diet----this is what "mainly" brings the abs, and all else is secondary.

Let me know......:)

hahaha

you are funny...

ALL OF LIFE IS A TOY!!

p90x series sells the idea of spot reduction (false hope) - those two statements are interchangeable.

you will find real athletes , with real results, and REAL ABS, here. If you have come to seel your plan-- yikes for you. If you have come with a real desire to get abs or learn something, then allow that to happen.

the p90x is either working for you and you are selling it, or it aint, and you "should" consider what we have found to work.

as it seems- typing is our first step!

ahhahahaaaa

I gotta sleep now.

just think, we could also throw in my sit and spin, with CCR's assmaster, combined with a half pallet of hydroxycut, and we may make enough to buy a tub of natural peanut butter, before shippin of course!!!

hahahah

Thank you for those who are responding. Especially those with positive feedback. I am not trying to sell the ab ripper program, but it has honestly gotten me good results so far. But my obliques are developing and the top part of my abs are developing but I am not getting the horizontal lines in my abs I was hoping for. Anyway I agree that it will take working out, cardio and healthy diet.

So I looked through the ab exercises on the "free exercises" portion of this site and the ab program I am on has me doing 15 of these different exercises with 25 reps each. Then for cardio I ride my Bike on average about 2 hours a week and play basketball for about 2 hours a week as well. Diet I don't drink soda or beer although I do drink hard alchohol about 3 nights a week on average. I eat twice a day and it usually consists of oatmeal, and eggs or bagel in the morning and then I have a pasta or rice based dish usually with chicken or shrimp. But I am all over the place with dinner because I am not on a diet plan but would love to hear one that works for you guys. It is not that I never eat lunch it is just that I usually will miss it or have a small sandwich or something because of class or work.

Anyway thanks again for your help guys. I have been a member of a couple forums and I know it takes awhile to feel out the new people and so I don't mind the jokes. And I have no idea about p90x or ab ripper's view in the fitness community, I thought it was well received but I definitely could be wrong, I just didn't want someone to be under the impression I was on a machine that I bought on the tv or something.

Bunch of jokesters in here :p

Ab ripper x does work, the entire p90x package does indeed work if you follow the program as its layed out. It doesnt re invent anything, its timed tested aged old practices that real athletes and body builders use that works. A lot of people prefer working out to a dvd to filter out distractions and stay motivated to keep going and finish, and the program educates you on how to work out properly and eat rather than arbitrarily puting you through the motions.

I must quote derwyddon here and respond:

"The truth is the entire p90x series is a sub par gimmick that is very unlikely to help you reach your goals. A solid routine of weight training, strategic cardio, and strict nutrition is really the only thing that is going to bring your abs out."

p90x is a solid routine of weight training, strategic cardio and strict nutrition. No wonder I have ripped abs now =) I must say that it looks like you have an opinion about p90x without knowing what it is. Are you running for politics? haha

With all do respect Im sure you mean well =) Saying p90x is a gimmick is like telling donald trump or bill gates that they dont know how to make a million bucks. I tried p90x, followed the program as its designed and experienced huge gains in all areas of my fitness. I know several dozen other men and women who went from crap shape to stellar shape using the program. I know women who could not do a single pull up and now they are doing a dozen pull ups. My girlfriend couldnt do a single pushup, now she does 20 like a man, not on her knees.

I challenge you and everyone else who believes its a gimmick to try it out as its designed and I bet you will change your opinions :p

To the person who started this thread... Stick with ab ripper x and follow the program as its layed out you do not need anything else to get ripped abs. It takes time and HARD work. Also, you will want to stop eating two meals a day right now. You should be eating at least four or five times a day, smaller meals. After only three hours or so your body gos into starvation mode in order to prevent starvation. You will store sugar into uselass flabs of fat which will hide those ripped abs that ab ripper x is helping you get and you will deplete your glycogen levels during your workouts causing your body to metabolize your muscles to convert its stored protein into energy, thus rendering your hard work counterproductive.

I googled "p90x" and just started posting to the threads that began showing. I didnt look to see how old or new the threads are. I just posted to them in the order they came up on the search. Im in the midst of a month long winter break from college and for a couple hours a day its a great way to pass time. And, im a p90x monster.

I thought about including my website link as an auto signature but though, nah that would be too weird so I just put it in my profile. If anyone wants it its easily accessable in their rather than in your face.

No kidding.... your style seems reek of "affiliate" all over it, given your MO as described above.
