any advice on 'toning up'?

hi, I'm 15, and I've been told by my coaches i need to 'tone up' and 'lose my puppy fat'
I swim regularly, and do daily weights training, and was wondering if anyone had tips for toning up?

HEY!!!!!

I have an idea.....or a suggestion: Matty's Corner.

Creat a journal/Diary in the correct portion of the forum to relate your feelings, inpart training, and ask questions. Its viewed by alot of persons, and could help DA BROTHA!........Just an idea........ROCK ON!:)

Then I meet you over there, and I inpart some diet and basic training advice.......to get the brotha started.

he suggested i look on the internet, so thats why I'm here

F'n ridiculous. I would first read the stickies of this forum, and definitely check out the Oly Lifting Tutorial for a good video of front and back squats. Work your body as a whole with compound movements.

Matt you still around? Are there questions I can help you with, youngman?

yeah, i just checked on this again.
i've now got access to a gym with all the basic resistance machines (i think, i don't really know what i'm on about, but i've looked round the internet and it looks fairly comprehensive)
i'm still really looking for advice as to what reps i should do for fitness/getting toned, i've been advised by some friends to do 15 reps on as much weight as possible, then 12, then 9.
i was also advised to do 15 on 'x' then 12 on 'x+5' then 9 on 'x+10' (if you see what i mean)...
yeah, any advice is very much appreciated, so thanks :)
