Weight Loss Advice

Hello. I need some advice about weight loss, and actually some questions. First of all, I would like to lose weight. I am currently a 16 year old male, 6'0 tall, 214 lbs. I would like to get down to 180 lbs, which is a "healthy weight" for me. First off, many of my days are like this:Wake up 6:10AM, eat 1 bowl(2 cups) of Special K cereal with 2% milk(1 cup). Go to school at 7am. Now here is where my problem is posed. I usually only eat 1/2 cup of almonds from the time i get to school, to the time I get home(7:00am-3:30pm). Dinner, usually around 4pm, would be meat(kotlets-ground meat, breaded, and cooked on oil) with mashed potatoes, and usually Rubed Baby Beets on the side. Another weak spot is at night, which is when I binge eat, i basically eat everything bad...(white bread, cookies, brownies, etc.) Exercise depends on the day of the week and if I have time(in general, I do weights about 4 times a week and cardio maybe 3 times a week). I understand that my eating pattern is a problem, but it IS difficult to change them(especially when I work at a restaurant that usually serves good stuff, like today brownies with ice cream.)
Finally, I would like to add that im am not 100% in good shape, mainly my chest and stomach. I have "man boobs" and a gut with some love handles:mad: . I have tried many times to lose weight, and obviously have failed...If anyone has any advice that would help me lose weight, I would appreciate it.

Well, you need to do a lot of reading around here on nutrition. You should be eating 4-6 small meals a day, spread throughout the day. Forget about brownies and cookies and **** if you are serious. There is no light way to put it, you just can't eat crap like that. Check out the grocery list compiled by member ~LV~, it has tons of great foods you should be eating regularly. I have lost 23 pounds, just by educating myself, and applying the knowledge to everyday life. There's honestly so much I could write for hours, but instead, I advise you to use the search function and read, read, read...

Honestly. I disagree. Brownies are a no no for people who have BEEN dieting for a while and want to lose more fat. For fat people who want to START losing weight, any change is enough for the beginning. Try one thing. Drink only water. Start walking. Learn to be satisfied with one peice of brownie. Etc. Start with one change. When you start seeing results, I'm betting you'll want to make more changes. But just start with one solid change (for the better) and I promise youl lose some of the fat you currently have.

Firstly, you are so young you have a long way to go, so don't be discouraged.

You need to change your eating patterns... Take a bite during the day. Skipping meals would not help... Dieting would not help too... Please read my website for more info.

I am sure you tried losing weight, but were you determine? Do you have a soft spot for food that are high in calories? I am sure you were not discipline in some areas and there was no persistence.

To lose weight you need to be discipline and persitent. Don't give up my friend!

Forget about brownies with ice cream for the moment, you can have them as a reward if you do what you intend to do, but not excessively.

It's good you are exercising regularly, I advise you to seek out a personal trainer. Also what is your intensity and duration on your exercises?

Cheers man!
