I finally made it!

I'm glad I've found this gold mine of help and found a way in. I'm curious though if anyone might know why I was never sent an e-mail to allow me to register when using my first e-mail. I've been trying to register since last week. Then when I created a new e-mail and tried again...immediately I got in. I hope I don't need the e-mail I used for registration because I use the first one which did not get responded to.

Another odd thing is that I filled in the contact form several times and no one responded to that either. Any ideas on what I may have done wrong?

Thank you!

Especially for the welcome! I was beginning to think maybe I wasn't welcome

I also tried to register using a different name, so if you need that name or e-mail to connect it to my present name and e-mail to resolve what may have gone wrong, please let me know.

there is and isn't a problem with the forum. When someone registers, they get a confirmation email to validate their email address. however, this is sent out by the programming language called PHP, which is what the forum runs on, and does not go through an actual mail server to do so (there is no other way to do it). When this happens, many mail servers like hotmail automatically mark it as SPAM because it looks forged and gets dumped in the JUNK folder. Other mail programs ignore it and others simply delete it ... there is no fix for this, and you will find this problem with any forum software that you register for.
