To many carbs?

I was told by my trainer to lower my carb intake, i usually eat around 30% carbs for the day, and very very limited bad carbs. I know i need to eat 1700-2000cal/day but today when trying to cut out carbs im finding it very difficult to eat that many calories bc im finding replacing the carb calories with protein calories prett tough. What is the recommended carb intake when trying to lose weight? Right now im at 50% protein 30% carb and 20% fats. I always try to eat the proteins first so i fill up on that, then goto carb. My weight loss has slowed to about 1lb a week now where i was seeing 2-3lb losses. What is an acceptable carb intake?

Protein always stays high, around 40% of your daily intake.

If you're going with a reduced carb diet strategy, it's best to raise fat intake, since fat is 9cal/g, has a higher thermic than carbs and the reduced carbs mean that most should go on by without getting stored.

So, a reduced carb diet breakdown would be:

40/20/40

However, remember to fuel up with carbs before the gym and get a proper PWO drink in there and a meal afterwards that is carbs, protein (fat is ok in the meal) so you aren't burnt out the rest of the day.
