sould I run or would I rest?

I am not sure where to post this but since it's about resting after work out, I think it would be best to ask here.

Sould Not run? when I am resting my legs? After doing squats my legs need longer time of rest for it to heal... is it ok to run?

I have not been doing my best with exersice due to my new job, lack of time to run to much fast food. And to add to the problem I got into an accadent leaving with broken leg. It's all healed now and I have no problem walking and jogging.

Now, I went to the gym and started working out again. I always ran but... gym was not my thing. I tryed a little befor but still.

With avice from the doctor and people I know. I been training my legs. Here is the problem... squats. I find that after doing squats I need more then a 2 day of rest for it to be healed. Even after straching and warming up. and I run every day, only 20 min <used to run for 60min with no issue... I'm out of shape :( >. Sould Not run? when I am resting my legs?

If you have access to a swimming pool that would be great. Swimming is the best cardio when your a bit stiff.

When you start off squats are taxing yes, but what is your load like? What kind of rep/sets are you doing. Also if your diet isn't clean and your aren't getting proper post workout nutrition it is going to make your healing time worse. I think you need to really focus on proper training especially if doing squats because done wrong and with to much weight can only make things worse.

As far as what kind of cardio to do, yes swimming is good. As well recumbent biking is easy on the knees and the ellipticals.
