I chose football because I prefer to watch that.

I enjoy US football more. soccer is a good game. But I love how technical and war-like US football is. Its a game of stratagy, strength, power, fitness, skill, accuracy and team play. It's great to play and watch.

Soccer I like to play, but I dont find it interesting to watch.

US football is the biggest load of crap sport. I've tried a few times but never managed to sit through a full match, it's just so boring and pointless. I mean, how many time outs do we need in one match and the fact that there's like two teams in one (defence and offence) - correct my if i'm wrong because i totally don't get the game. So my vote goes to the world game soccer.

Argh, I hate topics like these. They just lead to war. I don't like soccer, all they do is kick a ball. Go ahead soccer people, flame me.

I tried watching american footy MANY times, but its so hard to keep interested with all the stopping and starting zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. And how long is the half-time break lol, they have a concert in between? I'd go mad if I had to sit through all that right in the middle of an important Man U game!

That might just be the superbowl final or whatever, but that makes it worse!

Exactly, one could say "who gives a fu<k" but at the same time one could argue that its all apart of the spectacle.

Im from england so football lol. :D. but i guessing football as in the american version which you dont kick alot and it aint round like a ball :p

what sports do u think is better?

14 posts and already creating a controversial subject that has been brought up two hundred thousand times.. and gets the same results.. How bout you change the question to "What Sport do you prefer to watch or play?"

Football.

I don't see how it can be of any interesting debate or discussion.. when Football is a BIG sport here... and Soccer is a BIG sport there. Makes no sense to compare. If you need some time to kill.. play with your willy.. keep readin, and learn.

Football. Love it. I prefer to watch it because it ISN'T boring and is full of action and skill. It isn't 1 point per game where all you do is kick around a ball . It's running, throwing, kicking, maneuvering, tricks, skill, hard hits, violence, interesting, etc.

BTW lol, the half time is only like 5 minutes. Only for superbowl do they have a concert in between. idk why they change stuff for superbowl. If you only watch the superbowl, it's different than in a regular season game. I've watched soccer and thought it was alright...but honestly, how can you really sit through a 90 minute thing with only like 1 goal being scored??? BORING! ugh! lol

The flip side Merciless, is watching a low scoring US Football game that plays for 60 minutes, but actually lasts for 3 days and 2 nights. Obesity is not a surprise when your expected to be sat for that amount ot time :D

I voted gridiron though, because I'm sick of all the **** that comes with puffball, like players diving, players complaining over £130k per week contracts, player complaining about too many games (sometimes 3 PER WEEK  ), diving, acting etc. etc.

Plus Im hoping gridiron is going to be a lot of fun to play.

never watched a US football game so dunno about that. Soccer is boring except for the world cup, and tbh its more the fest than the soccer thats the fun part..

Soccer would be better if the players were allowed to hit each other. Rugby is better than soccer.

Football and Rugby is a tough call. Both are cool, and both have big hits.

Soccer will always be the loser. Why? From personal experience -

1. When I was in High School, all the soccer players ran around hitting each other in the nuts.

2. When I was in college, all the soccer players ran around hitting each other in the nuts.

3. When I worked at 3 other colleges after college, all the soccer players ran around hitting each other in the nuts.

Whats wrong with these guys?
As a result I have a hard time taking soccer seriously. Seems like a kids game.
