lightheaded

Every morning i get up at 6am and go for a 2.5 ish run. i come home and then eat a bowl of cereal then i go on a walk with my mom and it's about the same distance...when i come home i sometimes feel lightheaded. I know you would think i wasn't consuming enough calories but when i had just eatten breakfast about an hour ago should i really be hungry? sometimes at about 9 am i will eat toast or a rice cake with jelly. let me know if this is right or what you think.

so, you don't eat hardly any protein in the morning, nor any fats...just simple carbs, AFTER you run 2.5 miles?

I think you're experiencing a plummeting blood sugar level, easily remedied by going with more complex carbs (a bowl of old fashioned oatmeal) instead of cereal, and adding some lean protein, and healthy fats in to help regulate blood sugar and insulin levels.

basically you run when fasted, which is bad, then load up on simple carbs, and splike bloodsugar and insulin. by the time you finish your walk, bloodsugar is now plummeted because insulin was so high that it quickly dealt with it.

Some people swear by fasted cardio workouts, but others advice against it. Situations like this being a good example of why it isn't always the best.

Do like Malkore said, and you should see improvement.
