NO offense Junk, but if you look closely, he's doing the deadlift in two stages:

1. Straighten the legs.
2. Stand erect.

I was guilty of doing this also for a workout.

It needs to be one fluid motion.

None taken at all, i was using that as reference so im glad you corrected me.
 
I don't see anything majorly wrong with the movement in the link. the bar needs to come off the ground a bit before you can move your hips. i have long monkey arms, but shorter legs.

plus its an animated gif, so ti looks more jerky than it really would be.

yeah it can be hit or miss there.

like, they show stiff leg deadlifts with legs that don't stay stiff...their animation is hardly different from a standard deadlift. and I don't think their romanian deadlift is correct either. :rolleyes:
