Alot of weight(50lbs is alot to me) I also bought some dvds that i havent used.. Dunno if i ever will use them.. MY next step is to get a monthly pass to my local gym..

I also have a question about this 5 meals a day thing everyones talkin about.. I work nights 10pm-7am Only time i eat is at my lunch hour.(I work at wal-mart)

What would be a good thing to buy(cheap) To eat? Ive been eating eather half sub sandwichs, or sandwich wraps..

Oh, And ive also cut down on drinking soda... But usally have one bottle a night..

Oh, another question.. Whats the best way to raise my metabolism, Ive been slowing down at work and want to get done faster and help others finish their jobs.

Thanks

Take a look at the FAQ stickied at the top of this forum. Lots of great info there, as well as an excellent summary of what you should be doing from TrainerLynn.

Good portable snacks like, raw vegetables, almonds (dry roasted and unsalted or raw), low sugar protein bars, low carb shakes (If you can bring a cooler). beef jerkey is great!

Heres the thing, Were not allowed any food on the floor.. Only a bottle of water or pop.. And i only get 2 15 min brakes and an hour lunch...

And doesent jerky have alot of salt?

I'm no expert, but that 1 bottle a day of soda is still pretty bad. Sounds crazy, but try to cut out all soda. I've lossed a good amount of weight, and not drinking soda definitley contributed. Also, try to drink as much water as possible, this will help to flush out your system and help keep something in your belly.

in my opinion

try to cut the pop, what i do is mix juice with water so it taste alright but at the same time your changing bad habits

as for keeping your metabolism high, during your 2 short breaks try to find an open area and id say for a couple mins, sprint with all the energy you got.

doing something with high intensity like sprinting as fast as you can normally raises your metabolism higher then constant excercise. for example, a 5 minute sprint might be equal or better then a 15 minute jog

Juice has a ton of sugar in it too. If you must have flavored water use something like crystal light.
Would they really know that you had a baggie or almonds in your pocket?

id stay away from jerky food imo because its just not healthy

NOT TRUE!!! Why the hell do you think that!???

Jerky is a great protein source with no sugar in it, it does have some soduim but I would not worry about it.

It's sweetened with Aspertame and aspertame will effect your glucose and insulin levels.

Jerky is not just jerky. There are many different kinds. If you eat jerky you should go with a non-sugared low sodium brand. Most jerkys are filled with tons of flavors...code word for sugar or sugar subtitutes. Back that with heaps of sodium and not the best move.

Sodium also is an important thing to look at when trying to have a healthy diet and also making sure you get the most out of your water consumption.

Try and get as much on this checklist when looking for good jerky...

No Preservatives
No Added MSG
NO Nitrite
NO Erythorbate
NO Artificial Ingredients
Only Minimally Processed
