Want to shrink pec muscles

i've been working out regularly for a long time, doing both weights and cardio. however my pecs are rather disproportionally large (kinda like man boobs except it's muscle). how do i shrink my pecs while keeping them muscular and not flabby?

Why in the world would you want to shrink them.....? Why not just work other muscles, and balance everything out? To 'shrink' them you need to overtrain, and overtraining is AWFUL for you!

Some people on this forum would kill to be able to say what you just did, so be glad you have big pecs.

For whatever reason he wants his pecs smaller. The simple solution is don't work them out as much. Focus on training your other muscles.

You can continue to train your pecs to maintain muscularity but make them smaller by stimulating the growth of smaller muscle fibers. This would be achieved by working your pecs with low weight high repetition workouts.
By not lifting heavy your body will actually convert your typeIIb muscle fibers into the smaller typeIIa and TypeI fibers.

This is pretty funny because generally I would advise the exact opposite but since you want your muscles to be smaller you should apply less weight and raise the amount of repetitions.

aye, thanks for the advice. just a question: how much is considered high rep? like 30? 40?

I suppose it depends from person to person, and I wouldnt recommend doing the same for too long. But I would say somewhere in the 15-30 rep range, perhaps 4 sets of bench press (bar or dumb) for 15 reps or so. keep your tempo high to. 1 second eccentric motion, 1 second concentric motion, no rest.
Hope that helps.
