Good Deodorant...

I'm sorry if this is such an odd question but I sweat really bad when working out and I use Secret and it just isn't cutting it. Any suggestions?

Ewww gross....j/k

Sweating is the bodies cooling system. When we get too warm, we sweat, its just the way it is. Some people more than others, maybe its just a sign you are kicking butt in the gym.
Honestly I dont think there is anything you can do when you're working out, you're raising temp, heart rate and all.

Try a different deorderant. Maybe a men's brand...and go for someting with "Sport" in the name. Here's is also a trick....after you put on deoderant (preferrably the gel stick), slap on some baby powder over it.

Do you stink? :D If not, I think everything's just fine! I don't think you want to stop sweating though because it's natural. I sweat like a pig every time I work out.

Jessica - same problem here!

i tried this stuff that doesnt smell, but is supposed to reduce your sweating, called certain-dri...and it didnt work for me, haha! Probably cause i didnt use it properly, but you cant use it after a shower cause it stings sooo bad!

anyways, i was using my boyfriend's deoderant..old spice red zone..the soft solid, and that worked pretty well

doctor told me about 'Oda Ban', an anti persperant that works a little differently to the rest.

For the first week you apply it at night, to a completely clean and dry armpit. After that you apply it once a week, still at night.

You only use 1-2 short sprays though; as its so strong if you over apply it burns like hell - i used too much and couldn't put my arms down for 3 days.

It has helped with general daytime sweating - but for workout sweat just keep a towel handy. you need to sweat when excercising, and it least it shows your working hard. problem is that doing a lot of exercise, especially late at night, makes you sweat more when you're not exercising.

I still use daytime deodorant, i get through a lot though but its the only way i stop it. Also, talcum powder is good but dont use if too often as it clogs up pores. I always finish showers by turning it down as low as i can stand, and just try to keep cool as possible. running cold water over your wrists and dampening all your 'pressure points' such as behind the ears helps with this.

Its gross and i got so sick of it i went to the doctor - he told me we need to sweat and although it may seem excessive we sweat as much as we need to cool down. But ive tried all the above and it does does help minimize the daytime sweat.

No issues with sweating... You just gotta do it =-). Biggest issue is to keep smelling good... Sweat leads to bacteria growth (causing that famous pit smell and yellow stains on your shirts) - so the smell is the #1 factor (IMHO)... Solution = shower + deodorant / antiperspirant + axe + clean clothes.

As far as sweating chicks, coming from a guy, nothing wrong with that. White / black shirts help with the apperiance of sweat.

Yea sometimes I feel that way too.

I find when I use a certain brand of deorderant for a long period of time I seem to become immune to it.

I would suggest changing the brand. I like to use degree because even though I sweat the smell isn't overpowering. :)
