Weird hungover depress mood after workout

Ok yesterday i worked out a fair bit, or at least more then the usual, and as normal, i felt tired earlier then usual because of that workout

so i assume if ur sleepy, u sleep well for the rest of the night, rather then feeling normal and jumping into bed to wait till u fall asleep

so normally if im tired before to sleep, i wake up fresh in the morning like, spiked and ready to do something crazy

but after i worked out heavily yesterday, i woke up today feeling like ****... like hung over or something, and it lasted right through class , and to lunch. i was the such a state where i just decided to put my head down in class and sleep

I've been dieting and exercising for over a month now. And after I exercise I always feel really depressed. I don't know why though. Maybe its because i'm not eating the foods I use to enjoy. In the past I would look to food to overcome stress. Now I don't have that options. I just don't care about anything anymore School or work. I may need zoloft or something :(

The other day after I exercised I slepts from 130-530 pm and this is after I had gotting 8 hours of sleep the previous night. I just feel like i'm going through the motions. Nothing makes me smile anymore.

I'm not sure what the specifics are with either of your diets, sleep habits or workout routines; being depressed from working out completely contradicts scientific research which indicates being released due to strenuous activity.

Are you taking any stimulants before working out?

There are too many variables leading to depression and should be discussed with a professional if the feeling persists, but science just doesn't seem to support the theory that working out is the cause of this depression. My 2 cents, anyway. I wish the best for both of you.

It might be just having the endorphines running through your veins run out or wear out. It's like coming off a high, so yeah, it's gonna suck. Your diet might also be helping when you remove comfort foods, which are typically full of carbs.

Unless you are over training, this depression prob. doesn't have anything to do with your workouts. Are you taking cheat meals/days to eat the foods you like? If not, you might want to see if that helps. You can also reevaluate your goals, and try to remember why you are putting yourself through this. Remind yourself of what you will get out of your training, and the negatives of discontinuing it. Hopefully you can break out of this funk. Good luck.
