PLEASE advise: I am really worried for lower back

I have started to get really worried. I would really appreciate your comments and would be of great help to me.

I am a 29 y/o male and have started to experience lower back pain. It would be so awful to have any long-term or persistent back problems. In the short-term, it is marring my performance already @ gym.

Few months back, in addition to the upper body stregth trainning, I was also doing the Leg Press (3x10x 297 lbs) and Back Extension (3x10x110 lbs).
I started to feel bit pain in the lower back after I finished these two excercises. I consulted my helpful trainer @ gym, and he advised me to stop doing the back and leg presses. Suggested to do some back stretches, instead, which I followed to the letter.

Few months on, I no longer seemed to have any back pain and then one day I had to walk for 2 hours and had a killing pain when I tried to sit down. I had the same problem few days later. Which said to me that the problem had not gone away, in the first place.

Two days ago, in the gym, I went back to light Leg Press ( 1x30x187lbs.) and here I am with the lower back pain and worried again.

I wonder why do I have this lower back problem. What can I do to get rid this problem? I do not want to have any permanent problems in my back. Should I see a physio? a Shiatsuo massage?

Your suggestions would be great help to me.

go see someone about it i guess. i dont know enough about it myself to really give you any advice, but i think you have to strenghten the lower back wich some weird exercises or something.

Thanks Karky. I would certainly like to see someone about it. But not sure who? I never had any back problems before not sure the way forward.

I have a feeling that I need to see someone to "repair" the damage in the back and then start doing exercises to strengthen the lower back.

Would love to hear from experts.

This could be a number of things causing the pain. You need to go to a chiropractor, or physiotherapist and have them assess exactly what is going on, then you can begin steps to getting it fixed. Wish I could be more helpfull, but there is no way I can tell exactly what the problem is without some 'hands on'.

CrazyLegs, thanks I found a local chiropractor using the website .

Would you recommend a chiropractor over a physio in my case?
