Nobody: The fool. And the quest for perfection.

I just came to a shocking conclusion. It's the same one I came to 3 months ago.
But this time, I will actually do something about it!
====

I realized, before I jumped into the shower, how truly disgusting my entire body really is.
I hate it.

I mean really, no surprise right? Can you imagine a 116lbs. 16 year old male having a nice body?

Well, I thought I did. But sure enough, I was shocked, again. :rolleyes:

===============================================
Now onto business. I am planning a 3 month bulking period. If I don't get results by then, I'll have no choice but to extend the time period. 6 days a week, for about 1 and 1/2 hours a day. Pure bulking.

I am wondering, is it possible too see drastic results in only 3 short months? I think I know the answer, NO, but I was wondering if there was some glimmer of hope.

Everything needs to increase. Everything. I will worry about neuromuscular strenght when I get the physique I want. As I type this, I feel I am trying to become the "stereotypical" picture of a "man".

But even so, I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror. The only way to accept myself as a person is to become a "man". Shallow, but I feel it's the only thing that can solve my problem.
==================================================

Can someone suggest how many reps, and sets of exercises I should to get the maximum increase in size?

Would swimming help any? (I'm trying to avoid it for now, you know, with exposing my body and all. =P )

Should I completely forget about cardio?

Right now I am trying to calculate just how much size increase I need..I'll keep updating.

Do cardio once a week, solely for staying healthy. It's ALL about what you eat! I say bulking is 60-70% diet. More than 1g of protein/lb of body weight. Calories up around 3500 (I forget exactly how much you weigh, that might be too much, but work up to it if you can't take it right off the bat). Hit the gym 5 days a week, high set ##'s for your big compound movements, reps 10-14, get to failure but don't fail (leave one in the tank, ONE!)

I don't know, Mreik. It sounds like he might need a lot of food and the 5X5 program.
Strength & size, that's a great program. And it works for 90% of the people who use it! I'll see if I can dig up a link..

Don't do 10-14 reps.

5x5, much better.

Whatever you do, do something. You post about a new.. whatever.. once every couple of days. Pick something and stick with it for half a year or you won't get anywhere.

Some words to live by. Just Do It. Keep It Simple Stupid.

You haven't been lifting very long and your body will react to almost anything.. in years, you can try to get fancy, in the mean time it's not necessary.

I would skip the cardio for now or keep it to once a week with high intensity.

don't worry i'm the same way. i'm pretty skinny and i want to bulk up pretty much everywhere. what i do is the 5x5 and it's been working well. i say do that. but also, i keep my workouts short and sweet. i work out 2 bodyparts a day and only like 4 or 5 exercises a day. other than that, eat eat and eat some more. that's the part that most people have a problem with, like me. i found that buying foods that come packaged or you can package yourself are very very handy, because you can just take them with you anywhere and whenever you get hungry you have something to eat.

Sounds like a solid plan Nobody, you will see some nice results in 3 months if you do it right. The 5x5 plan that you have heard so much about is great. I wouldn't jump right into it though, give yourself a couple weeks of lighter (70%ish), higher rep (8-12ish) training to condition yourself for the heavy stuff you are going to be tossing around on the 5x5. Unless you have already been lifting consistently, then go for it. Your diet looks solid as well, up the protein though for bulking.

I am always on the cautious side when suggesting heavy lifts for beginners. An injury can set you back further than what you started with. Good luck man, keep us updated.

i got link for the bill starr 5x5. ive been on it for 2-3 weeks, and i have gained muscle, and i tough it was impossible for me:p

be sure do to the exersices right, if you dont know how to do them, ask, its importaint to do it right ;)
also, get your bench press technique right, i tought bench was just to lift the bar, but i was wrong, i just adjusted my bench press technique, made it a little harder to lift, but i feel it alot more in my muscles;)

and for gods sake, eat, i dident start gaining until i started eating more, every meal i started eating more. i eat 5-6 times a day and right after i work out i get myself a meal with alot of protein, i eat 4 eggs right after i get home from the gym and drink like 2 glasses of milk.

THanks a lot guys for the help.

I always jump from one thing to another because I always manage to think of something new. =P
Sorry if it's annoying...

I'll be reading the 5x5 program, let's hope all goes well. Thank's guys! ;)

From my understanding, when you just start working out, you see the greatest results within the first three months. After that, its tougher to "see" the results, which would explain why people quit after awhile, "hey my program is no longer working." You just gotta work hard and keep yourself motivated, which is really the hardest part. Exercise and diet is easy, its motivating yourself to do it.
Nobody, get yourself a program and stick to it, set yourself some achievable goals every 3-4 months. You can do it.
