Savory (Satureja hortensis, S. montana)


Savory is an uncommon spice found in the hot regions of the Northern hemisphere.

Common Uses

It is best known for its flavoring beans, and is often cultivated for the use of potherbs. For cooking it is generally used to season stews, but in particular the traditional Acadian stew called fricot.
