Tender steaks in tomato sauce with veggies.

Ingredients

  • 4 round eye steaks
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 diced green pepper
  • 1 diced onion
  • 3 chopped stalks of celery
  • 1 tbsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp basil
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Steps

Sprinkle the steaks with a little flour and brown both sides in a hot pan with olive oil.

Add onion, green pepper and celery along with the can of diced tomato (including the liquid) over the steaks.

Add seasoning.

Bring mixture to a boil and then bring to a simmer and cover.

Let simmer for 2 hours or more to insure that the meat is tender.
