How did you get started with bodybuilding? I began participating in organized sports at the age of 15. Track and Field and cheerleading in High School, Cheerleading 4 years in college and 2 years as a professional cheerleader with the USFL, Michigan Panthers. My transition into bodybuilding started as a way to stay in shape after organized sports. In addition to staying in shape, I was preparing for auditions with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Where does your motivation come from? My motivation comes from a passion for the sport. Being a career athlete equipped me with the discipline, willpower and tools necessary to compete. If you’re passionate about something, the motivation to continue regardless of the obstacles is steadfast. What workout routine has worked best for you? Exercising 5 days a week has really worked for me. I weight train each body part only once a week. Day 1, Chest, Day 2, Legs, Day 3Biceps and Calves, Day 4, Back, Day 5 Shoulders and Triceps. After the show they started telling me I needed to start fitness modeling. One of my friends recommended a local photographer, Carlos Arias. At about the same time a fitness writer from France was in town going to the local gyms asking people who they felt he should do a feature on and apparently my name kept coming up. So we connected and a lot of the pictures from my first shoot ever wound up getting published in one of Europe’s largest fitness magazines. Where does your motivation come from? How did you get started with fitness training? And your journey to becoming an IFBB BIKINI PRO? As a little girl I was always very active and often got into trouble so my parents decided to keep me busy by enrolling me in kick-boxing, gymnastics and soccer classes. As a college student I became interested in power lifting and soon became The European Champion Of Power lifting in my weight class. I came to the USA to train and compete in America. My trainer (who became my Husband later) is a Top Level National Competitor. He helped me to be the best female overall lifter in 2003 and he introduced me to Fitness, Figure and Bodybuilding after I decided to stop Powerlifting. After I had my son I started to compete in Figure and Bikini Divisions in the NPC winning several overall titles, first places. How did you get started with fitness modeling? I started has a figure Athlete in 2005. And after a couple of shows, i got “discovered “ by some photographers that were working for fitness magazines and i had my first chance to have a spread in a mag and it all started from there ! I never thought i could model, honestly. I always hooked on working out and looking good more then anything lol. I discovered i had modelling talent i guess ! Where does your motivation come from?
