This is a simple but very effective rotator cuff and shoulder exercise.
Sit upright on an exercise ball. Tie a short length of exercise band into a loop. Keep the shoulders relaxed and have the elbows at your sides, bent at 90 degrees. Have both hands in the loop with your palms facing each other.
Keep your upper arms against your body. Pull both hands outward, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Your shoulders will rotate during this movement. Return to the start position with control. Repeat 8-12 times, rest, then repeat the exercise sequence.
