Why isn't it working!?

Just looking for anyone who may be able to give me some insight as to why my workout routine doesn't seem to be working!

I joined a gym 2 months ago in order to lose some weight (at least 20 lbs). I've been going a minimum of 4 days a week, sometimes 5, for at least 1.5 to 2.5 hours a night. I do lots of cardio and kick my ass! My schedule usually goes as follows.
Monday: 45 minutes of Kickboxing, 45 minutes of Free Weight Aerobics, 45 minutes of Zumba
Tuesday: 60 minutes of Step Aerobics, 30 minutes of weight lifting
Wednesday: 45 minutes of Zumba, 45 minutes of Pilates (Sometimes Off)
Thursday: 60 minutes of Step Aerobics, 30 minutes of weight lifting
Friday: Off
Saturday: 45 minutes of Zumba, 45 minutes of Weight Lifting (Sometimes treadmill or elliptical as well)
Sunday: Off

I don't eat unhealthy...I'm sure I don't eat as healthy as I possibly could, but I avoid foods such as bread and pasta, I don't eat sweets and things of the sort...

Anyway, my question is...I have been doing this for 2 months, and I haven't lost any weight!! And I don't think I look any different at all.... Anybody have any suggestions on why I'm not seeing results? I figured by kicking my ass as much as I have been, that I would have lost a little weight by now!

Any suggestions?????

How strictly do you follow your routine?

The reason I ask, is because to change your body needs to be shocked. It's a big thing in body building, but the same rules apply for simple weight loss. As soon as you get into a routine, your body adapts to it and no longer sees the need to change. If you have been following this routine for 2 months, then I am not surprised at your recent lack of results. I am assuming in the first few weeks of this lifestyle you would have noticed some changes, but not anymore. What you must do is throw routines out the window. Constantly change your workout schedules, constantly change what you do when you are working out, etc. Try new things such as swimming, cycling, and running. On a day that you normally take off to rest, go to the gym. Your body won't expect it, and will struggle to keep up thus causing fat burn, muscle breakdown, etc.

Thanks for the advice... Actually I have seen no results in the whole 2 months lol. That's why I'm so confused. As far as mixing up the workout routine, do you think it's enough that the classes change every week? What I mean is that the instructors come up with new exercises and routines... or should I still try to do completely different things? I get extremely extremely bored doing things like running on the treadmill or cycling, etc, which is why I generally just take part in all the classes. Again, thanks for the advice any other suggestions are welcome!!

It might not be enough. Sometimes your body needs a pretty drastic shift from day to day to realize that it has to start burning fat. Sometimes what happens is you become healthier without actually losing any weight. So what you have to do is constantly try new things. Running on treadmills can be incredibly boring, which is why I chose to run outside. I'm not sure if you live somewhere warm enough to do this year round, but this time of year I'm sure you can.

How tired do you feel after working out as it is?

During the workouts, I'm really working hard...my face is blood red forever afterwards haha. After the workout, I feel somewhat energized for a few hours, and then generally am exhausted and pass out since I work out in the evenings and nights.

I don't doubt that you're working hard, but sometimes you can be in better shape than you give yourself credit for. Even after doing an hour and a half of what you think is hard exercise, you can sometimes not end up challenging your body at all. You've got to go out and try something that you do not believe you can do. Run a half marathon, something like that. Your body knows it can do the routine that you do every week. There isn't a point where your body says "wow I can't keep up. I'm going to have to start burning fat to supply enough energy to keep this up!" You've got to try something new every day, and whatever you do you absolutely have to give 100%. Also, try working out in the mornings/afternoons if you can. Routine is good for staying thin, not getting thin. I think this is about all the advice I can pour out to you. Keep me updated with any progress you make, and I wish you the best of luck in knocking off some pounds. :)
