Sport What about protein?

Hey, I'm having some trouble deciding the amount of protein that I should be intaking daily. Also, do i intake extra protein even on off days? Currently I'm trying to cut body fat, and build muscle at the same time, i'm keeping my workout reps between 8-10, and i'm jogging 2.4 miles on all off days with the exception of 1. This leaves me with weight training 3 days and jogging 3 days... With a setup like that, how much protein should i really be intaking? I'm currently 5'10, 16 years old, and i weigh about 153lbs currently gaining weight because i eat a little too much sometimes.... :D

Easy. 1g of protein per pound of lean mass for cutting, or 1g per pound of total mass if bulking or maintaining.

keep in mind its damn near impossible to get decent results trying to cut and bulk at the same time. you need to focus on one or the other, and cycle between the two. like, when you feel lean enough, go bulk for a few months, then cut the fat you put on to show off that new muscle mass.

be consistent in your protein intake. you're not building muscles in the gym...you're building them the 48 hours AFTER your workout ends...when you recover.
