Hi Chris.

I love your blog. Last Feb 2008, I had a "obest" body as well - just like in your pictures. I too implemented many lifestylce changes and drop my body's "extra" 60 lbs. Like you, my lifestyle changes were the traditional "eat better - move more" approach. And over time, I too changed my body's BMI from obest to over weight to "just above" normal range. Due to my body's wide frame and large muscles (from resistant training), I cannot force my body into BMI "normal range". When I tried to reach that range, my wife & many of my friends kept telling me that I looked 10 years older, and looked deathly ill - from sucken eyes and sunken checks. For my unique body, 10 lbs above BMI normal is "as best as it gets" - for visual and health number reasons. Something to keep in mind when striving towards your BMI "normal range" goal as well. re: BMI 'normal range" may not be your body's perfect number to strive towards. Of all the changes I did during my "1 year adventure - to drop the 60 extra lbs", I regret one thing. Not creating a blog and writing down the things on my mind, or the specific details that worked for my unique body. Thus, why I think your blog is a great idea.

Keep going and keep recording your daily items... It seems to be working for you...

Way to go!!!

i think you are off to a good start regarding the weight loss, but perhaps should not come just to link to your website (links from new members are not tolerated too well as we get a lot of spam).

Will be great to see you when you finally lost it all :)

Spike99 thanks for the interest, great to hear your success. i am really finding motivation in the success of others, sounds dumb but it's working, i read many other blogs and follow discussion boards, also been watching a lot of biggest loser and although their losses are crazy it always gives me a boost to keep at ti for the rest of the following week.

I understand the BMI issue - it's not the best indicator. I'm not sure but i think i might be the opposite and need to go a bit lower on the BMI numbers than the normal range however i won't be gettign too carried away, 25 would be great. My wife has a few extra pounds on after giving birth to our 3rd son (as you would expect) but when she gets on the WII FIT it says she is underweight. It just shows that the BMI doesn't take into account body type.

I do post here a fair bit WISHES, hope others post more often too, and join my blog. afterall we need whatever help we can get.
