starting up again

just got back off holiday so ive been outta action for nearly 3 weeks any ideas on whether i should pick up where i left off or take it easy and build up for a couple of weeks also im feeling kinda drained as the food was crap so my nutrition took a nose dive so would it be wise to build that back up to scratch before i go back to lifting?

cheers guys

Base your decision on how you feel once you hit the gym. Three weeks isn't a tremendous amount of time. Some recent research suggests that it takes a month for your body to really "de-train". When you start back go slowly, see how you respond to the workout. If you're totally drained half-way through, go ahead and stop there, and then climb your way back to where you were pre-vacation.

if you feel fine doing your pre-vacation workout, then change things up make things harder for yourself.

cheers for the reply man

the only exercise i seemed to have got was squats (i think i had a touch of food poisoning my thighs are killing me lol))

Ugh, i hate getting sick when I go on vacation ebcause of the food.

I agree with what adler said, stop if you feel really worn out. When I go on vacation and come back. I usually do about 75% of what I was doing for my previous workouts and slowly add back on. IT shouldn't take too long for you to be back to where you were.

Ditto to my esteemed colleague Dave.

Marko: I too had food poisoning, was traveling through the middle east. Had some bad meat, woke up at 4am for a mountain climb. It hit me about 1/4 of the way up. Let's just say I left a great number of little gifts on every flat surface I could find, oh and I used just about every kleenex I could find.
