Hi all I think the best thing for me to do is to begin a diary to keep an eye on things myself.

Last week I had a bit of a break down after finding none of my nice clothes fitted me and as a result I couldn't go out on a night out. I felt so digusted with myself I decided to make an effort to lose my excess weight.

This week I've been trying to cut down on portion sizes, I've been too used to eatin massive platefuls each meal. I started on Sunday at 178lbs so will weight myself again on Sunday coming.

As I've been pretty good all week I'm going to allow myself a few treats on Sunday as it's my birthday and my parents are taking me for tea. I'll try and pick a fairly healthy choice but my favourite food is Indian food.

Today for breakfast I had a pasta mug shot (it's like those soups you tea get as powder and add water but it has pasta in). For lunch I had a roll on quorn burger. I had a fairly unhealthy tea as I'm unwilling to give up all of my favourites. Instead of doing so I'm making the portions smaller, my tea was some oven chips, a small macaroni pie (never seen them outside Scotland and baked beans. At night I was hungry so so had a bowl of tomato soup and a glass of fruit juice. Before I would have thought nothing of having more chips or a bowl of pasta. I need to cut that out.

Hopefully this has made a difference this week, I already feel a little lighter I think due to the fact I've made an effort to get my 2 litres of water in a day.

I am starting out at 178lbs, I hope to get down to 140lbs. Here goes everything...
 
Oh well today hasn't been so bad, my mum wanted to take me out for lunch so I asked if we could just go to a sandwich shop instead of a pub.

I got a rather unhealthy sandwich (bacon and cheese panini) but I had a banana for breakfast and some grapes as a snack. For tea I'm having grilled chicken (we have one of those George Foreman grills) with a baked potato with coleslaw.

I did about an hour and a halfs walking today as I had to get some Christmas shopping.
 
Yay this Sunday I'm down 3lbs at 175 so now I have exactly 2.5 stone to lose. I'm making the next 7lbs my target for the end of January which will bring me under the 12 stone mark.
A further half stone would get me under the "Obesity" label on my BMI too. I'm having fruit for my breakfast and some tomato soup for lunch owing to the fact I'm probably going to end up having a big tea tonight.
 
Well today is off to a good start after I was a bit naughty yesterday (but if you can't be naughty on your birthday then when can you).

It started out OK as I only had a sandwich on chicken made with wholemeal bread for my lunch/breakfast (I had a long lie).

However at night we had Indian take away food, I'd heard somewhere that Tikka Masala was the curry with one the lowest amount of fat so I had that with boiled rice instead of fried. A wee while after that I had a piece of birthday cake.

Oh well today I've had a tangerine and a banana for breakfast, I know I should have cereal or toast or something but I just cant stand carbs too early in the morning.
