Stationary Bike Upright 22 minutes (left knee patella tendon started to get sore so I stopped) Got heart rate up to 120 at 10 minute mark... but was mostly in the 114-118 range.

Stairmaster step machine... (actually has steps like a tread mill but with steps on it)... 10 minutes... really got my HR up... didn't have something to measure it... but I could tell I was breathing pretty good...

Sauna 12 minutes.
 
Tues after work

20 minutes... Stationary upright bike... good intensity but had a hard time getting heart rate up. took 10 to get to 120... peaked at 13x... My thighs started burning at 16 minutes... was at 120 rpm for some time... when the resistance increased where I was down to 90 rpm my quads started to burn... 1 minute cool down

2 minutes stair machine... bad choice after quads exhausted...

5 minutes treadmill 3.5 mph 4% grade... walk it off...

10 Eliptical machine... HR 120+ for 9 of the 10 minutes... 2 minute cool down

Sauna 12 minutes.

breakfast: Grapenuts & skim milk + O.J.
Lunch: 12 hot wings at bar, 6 celerey sticks, 1/2 tsp or bluechees dressing.
dinner: 2 Pears, 1 Plum, 1 Soy Milk drink (20 grams protien)

I felt pretty good the first 1.5 miles... and still pretty good closing 2nd mile... in the 3rd I started to get some leg fatigue and cramping in my gut...

I alternated my breathing to start in/out on side of cramp and it helped... (saw that on some website).

Not having any real carbs after my run yesterday was a mistake... I got a bit shaky later in the day just before dinner... I really thought I ate more than that but even if I had more meatloaf... say to take it up to 800 cals. in meatloaf... I was still under 2000 for the day...
(230) + (123) + (1150) + 380 = 1883 so just say 2000... which is about 500 less than 2690 or whatever my number is to hold weight... 7*500 calories = 3500 calories = approx 1 lbs or fat burned
 
Just read an article on pain from running and found out according to all of the pain I was experiencing is due to overpronation.. (as I suspected)... I bought shoes that help with that...

And my run yesterday was virutally pain free... and no shin splints today...

Of course that website is selling products so... is it exagerated... maybee???

Ran 2 miles... felt really good... ran fastest I have since starting up running agian. No pain in legs... Got 1 side cramp in the last 100 yards or so when I was really pushing... I think I am drinking too much water before my workouts... I think I am going to stop drinking water about 45 minutes before and see if that helps...

I need to be carefull this weekend not to ruin the work I did this week...

Left leg a bit sore from yesterdays run... actually both sore just above the knee...

Just a tiny almost soreness in my very upper stomack... and shoulders & chest... So that was a decent 15 min workout in my family room while watching boxing... lol...

Sunday nite weight...

191.6 (20% BF) GOOD nite weight! Looks like I didn't blow my weeks work... normal 2 pound drop puts me at 189... and if I am a true 189 morning weight... that is down from 192 where I was... We shall see as I rehydrate... Not sure If I am just down on water from being in the sun all day and sweating... or if I actually have dropped some fat...

I feel smaller...

BTW my stomach is sore... what from iduno... perhaps carrying my 6 year old on my sholders for about 1/2 mile?
 
187.6 (22.5% BF) morning weight...

Ran just over 2 miles at lunch... 1st mile nice easy pace... actually laps are .4 miles... so first 3 laps easy.. then I ran 1/2 lap at fast pace... any faster and it would be a sprint... then secodn half of lap at recovery jog speed... after then next 1/2 lap at that fast speed I felt some pain in my groin as I slowed down... so I slowed to a walk for a while... when I picked it back up to a slow run I felt a little tighness in my groin so I walked for a few minutes... then called it a day...

I am beginning to wonder if I should just NOT stretch my groin... I haven't been stretching it and I have had no problems... today I warm up well and stretch my groin... and whamo...

normaly I warm up paying attention to my lower leg... achiles tendon... and then stretch my hamstrings and quads a bit... and stretch my gluts... I only strech my groin after... I started doing that on a hunch that my streching of my groin actually was contributing to my groin injuries in the past... hopefully because I stopped before it really started hurting that I'll be fine... I may even take tomorrow off... and x-train...
 
Morning 187.6 (22.5% BF)...

Not sure I will get my lunch run in... should be 93 degrees with 70% humidity... putting the heat index over 100... it is 10:00 and it is 85 out already... I am hydrating just in case... I may go for it... I may just try to do a real easy 3 mile run through the park...
 
ok I did 4 miles at an easy pace... proably around 12 minute mile pace... but more likely at 11 minute mile pace...

I felt pretty good... a little bit of achilles tightness... soreness in the right leg... ok tomorrow is off day... I'll hit the weights...

Oh I was 185 after my run... I was 187.6 this morning... and I think I hydrated pretty well before my run.... so it really was hot out there... 2-3 pound I dropped durring my run... that seams a bit high... but I did have a pretty good BM at work before my run as well... (sorry for the TMI)... I'll be interested in my night weight... and what happends tomorrow... I figure I should be low 187's

Trying to eat more to keep the cal deficit >1000... having a hard time... Eating healthy just makes me too full! :) How can you even think of eating more after eating 3/4 cup of grapenuts then 3/4 cup of cottage cheese for breakfast...

I feel great! I haven't felt this good in... ???

I am getting real excited about crossing the 180 mark... it is a few weeks away... maybe a month & 1/2 but if I go to see my doc at 178-180 and 18% body fat... he is going to be pumped... I figure I will send leave him a message that I want to create a plan to get off the meds so that he is prepared when i go see him... I have to find that date so I can put it on my calendar... but it is approaching... I have a feeling it is in sept...

then a few months later I will be crossing the 170 mark... and the I get to celebrate... because I should be completely off the stupid bp medication by then... I am going to check my BP tonight... just to see where my pulse is...

I'll bet it is in the mid 40's it was upper 40's to mid 50's before I started running I would bet there has been a drop already... I went from struggling to run a mile in under 10 minutes to being able to run sub 8 and now I am able to run 4-5 miles and 3 is easy... I can run 2 at a fast pace... and I have 3 weaks to get so I can 3 fast (my first 5k since I ran one 11 years ago)...

A bunch of people haven't seen me since my daughter's b-day party in early june... I am interested if I'll get any comments... my wife thinks the changes in my body are dramatic and she sees me naked every day... (sorry tmi again)...

That being said that is icing... I am not doing this for what other people think... if I get some compliments it will be nice... I am doing this to feel better and to get off the BP medication that makes me a sloth... makes me not want to do anything...

BTW I kicked my addiction to nicoteen... I'll post about that tonight... its bazaar... I don't understand it... well enough for this post...
 
Wow, I dunno how I missed this thread.. But you're doing great. You'll be off the pill in no time, very inspirational.
