SHould I lose it

Breaking Point

Ok well I'm 18 going to be 19 and I just started college earlier this week. And my problem is I got like a tiny keg but I'm on like around 5ft 9 and 131 pounds. And I was wondering how do I get rid of this keg if I'm already underweight? I mostly drink water and eat healthy foods. Ever since college started I eat breakfast and then I don't eat until I get home because I'm never hungry and during my 3 free hrs at College I walk around for 3hrs straight and I already feel a little difference.

What is a 'keg'? Are you talking about your stomach?

We all have something we don't like about our bodies, you already sound too thin as it is so probably not a good idea to lose any weight.

However, not eating all day is not doing you any good. If you don't feel like you could eat a meal maybe take an energy bar or some fruit to snack on?

Ya im talking about my stomach. But if I was at home I would probably eat junk food so I think its a good thing so what should I do to lose this?

Probably the best thing to do is eat a high protein diet and do some weight training. You shouldn't be on a diet to lose weight, however if you gain some muscle and become leaner it could go away.

couldnt i just eat like 3 meals a day and exercise and lose ti that way instead of drinking and eating stuff with a lot of protein in it?

coulsn't i just lose the weight without eating stuff thats high in protein? Because the 3 meals a day I eat are healthy I just eat junk food as snacks.

No one here is going to encourage you to lose weight.

Me and others have already suggested increasing your protein intake and doing weight training (which will help lower your body fat and create a lean look) yet you still don't want to hear it.

You want to lose weight yet you eat junk food for snacks? Doesn't sound like you are too commited to making a change.

so basically i should just lift weights, and drink protein shakes ?

There are other ways of getting protein rather than drinking protein shakes.

I don't drink protein shakes yet I manage to get in 150g + a day. I eat a lot of lean animal protein such as lean steak, beef, chicken, fish, tuna. Then also get a lot of protein from eggs. I add 2 tbsp of protein powder into my porridge in the morning because there really isn't anything I like to eat in the morning that is high in protein.

A diet high in protein is much more beneficial for fat loss, as it is highly thermic. Meaning that 30% of the calories are burnt off simply by digesting it, compared to 10-20% for carbs and fat is at around 0%. Also, protein fills you up and controls insulin resistance (which can decrease cravings for high sugar foods).

Im kinda in the same position as you, I have been following Tom Venuto's 'Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle' program for some time, if you are really serious I suggest you read it. Today is my 6th day on my carb cycling program and it is going really well.
