Should/Can I do this?

Well I'm 18 years old and only about 130 pounds, atm I'm trying to get my mass up.
Following a 3 day split put together from serveral different work outs, It considers of a strength, muscle and burn set/s. My BF is 11% and I'm wondering should I focus on just getting bigger or should I be focusing on getting bigger and reducing my belly and body fat. I started getting back to working out after sometime, I'm into my fourth week. Also I'm taking, these supplements:
Casien/Whey protien, its a blend of both.
Mass up.
USP Prime.

I was considering on my off days to do this

What I'm doing atm is Massing up trying to get as big as I can within 2 months and then at the beginning of the 3 months it would be to rip up the muscle I gained. The See-saw effect.

Every week the weight is increasing, I make sure to increase the weight by at least 5 pounds on my strength sets. And I try to master the weight within the time, for example the strength max rep is 5 so I'll try to hit all 5 reps for the 4 sets and if I can't the next week I'll do the same weight trying to master that weight.

My father who's been lifting weights since out of high school has told me not to do since I'm trying to gain mass and and i'll be losing weight on it. He can be a bit stubborn at times.

What I'm saying is, Why can't I just keep my calorie/food intake to keep my mass up and gain but do the Spartacus workout to reduce my BF, or is that not possible?

My goal is to cut my BF to at 8% and if lower to 6% would be even greater.

I was at the same point at that age. I was 18, 5'10 and 130 lbs. I had an incredibly high metabolism and it was very tough to gain weight. I assume you have the same issue. I would not worry about trying to gain for 2-3 months, then shred, gain 2-3 months, shred, etc... Just focus on gaining mass at this point if that is what you want. Keep a food log of all you eat () and make sure you are getting enough calories in. Focus on doing compound lifts primarily (squat, dead, bench).

It may take 2 years to put on 30 lbs. Just try to get to the weight you want, then at that point, you can try to lean out a bit. If you are anything like I was, I would go through a full 12-18 month bulk period, then do a short 6-10 week cut, followed by another bulk period - if you are trying to gain size.

I am currently 40. I just weighed in at 200 and had bf checked with calipers at 8%. It is possible to gain weight, but for some it is very difficult. To this day, if I just cut back a bit on the calories, I will drop weight quickly. Just stick to the idea of eat big, lift big. The gains will come with time.

Thanks Mpfd, yes I have trouble picking up weight due to my Thyroid level elevating over the past year.
I wouldn't have to be concern with trying to shred? Its more of my abs and ripped I'm trying to get but bulk up some if you get what I mean?
