Preparing for a 1 Kilometer run

Hi All!

My daughter (13) is preparing for a 1km run in 2 weeks.

Any tips for training leading up to the event and any advice on how to go about tapering?

Include milk and protein it gives stamina good luck
 
Give her a diet enrich with calcium and proteins. While for avoiding injuries, she must try stretching before and after a long run. It will make her muscles flexible, and strong.
