New Member :)

I go to FSU. yeah I love the almond one but Im not a milk fan so I eat about a cup of it dry for breakfast with my coffee. I ended up doing two classes today, did spinning at 630 for an hour which including breaks for arm weight training, then at 6 pm did an hour of body toning class which included cardio bursts...I feel like I didnt work enough today though... I think Im just really full from dinner so I feel like I should be working out....had a peanut butter and jelly sandiwch for lunch on wheat bread, and 2 cups whole wheat pasta and red peppers for dinner and a small baked potato with pepper and 2 tbs. cant believe its not butter....(seems too good to be true)
 
So I am going away this weekend to visit some old friends from high school I havent seen in about 4 years, and I would love to say I wont drink, but thats not realistic it just isnt, so I know beer is terrible, so does anyone know what could possibly be a "good" drink , maybe osmething I could mix with diet coke perhaps...I dunno...I have been so good so far havent cheated once, worked out every single day....but I know like I said realistically it is not plausible to say I wont drink so Im in need of some suggestions for semi good drinks when youre dieting.
 
Hmm of all the drinks I enjoy, beer is probably the best for you so I'm of little help here. This is a great attitude though. If you plan it out, you'll do minimal damage to your diet and have a great time with your friends too.
 
hey there, I get easily depressed too, I was thinking of weighing myself every other friday too, we can weigh in together at the friday scale day next week?
 
omg my boss at hollister went to FSU..he looooved it. he's so chill and laid-back, i love him

yeah i'm so screwed because the dave matthew's concert is this saturday aka tons of beer/drinking will be involved. i dont know how to deal with it. i might just eat very small at dinner and lunch to make up for it, and that way, i can drink less and get affected faster which saves calories. i forgot how many calories drinking injects into my life. i haven't drank since i left syracuse for the summer bc i've been busy working/working out and dont want to drink a lot
 
It sounds like you are doing great! Keep it up :D

As for drinks, I've found that I just drink less.

It's hard...but I try ;)

Rum and diet coke, is probably about 150 calories
White wine is about 75 calories in an average glass (much less if you have a spritzer -but don't get the wine coolers, they have a lot of sugar i them) you can mae a spritzer fruiter by adding lemon or a strawberry to it...
Having water or seltzer every other drink would also be a good idea..

or be the designated driver and don't drink at all and just hang with your friends...
 
Wow! You are doing great on the exercise. My Dr. said that it doesn't matter if you eat up until the moment you go to bed, as long as you don't take in more than you burn you will not gain weight that day. There are lots of different opinions on that subject, but he is a pretty smart guy so I would tend to believe that theory--it makes sense anyway. Keep up the good work.
 
hey thank for the drink ideas....I think I may just have twp rum and diet cokes, or 2 heineken lights ( myfav drink!) I have been so good haven drank anything but water in 2 weeks for the first time in my entire life...I am such a soda addict. I feel better....even though i dont think ive lost any inches or weight because my pants that fit three weeks ago then stopped fitting dont fit again yet...but I feel good at the pool in a bikini, maybe its just a mental thing from working out but whatever. :)
 
Soooo the weekend away went pretttyyy well. Ate as healthy as I could for having to eat out every meal. Drank a little more beer than I planned but also danced hardcore for about 3.5 hrs each night so I def burned off ALOT if the cals. hopefully this weekend didnt ruin everything ive been doing for the past week :( Oh well back home now and back on track.
 
Sooooo I had a really bad past few days, not terrible no binging and I prolly didnt eve go over my calorie limit but just not good food, today had a wendys chicken finger meal and then a moes salad (mexican rest) and I felt sooo bloated and disgusted I seriously thought I gained like 6 pounds in the past 5 days since I havent worked out either. So I decided to weight myself since I assumed it would be up like 5 lbs and then Id feel giulty and not eat bad again buuuuut I am down to 146 from 151...soo I actually lost weight lol, and I am guessing since I weighed myself at 7 pm and after eating all that , that it is even less I prolly am really at 143-4 ish. So I am now motivated and going to the gym tommorrow, and starting back on eating healthy, I have just been so off track the past 4-5 days I felt terrible.! ahh
 
Hey there! Congrats on the loss! That's awesome. Don't worry about the binging once in awhile..it happens to the best of us!

It's good you're getting back on track :) The weightloss is good, but if you're coming in under your caloric needs for fat loss, you'll be losing muscle too, and you don't want that!

I am in moving transition, decided ot go back home, too boring at college if ur not tkaing classses, so ive bene painting and packing and such and not eating so good, there always seems to be something getting in the way, but when i go home i will be doing manual labor outdorrs 6 hours a day for my dad plus my mom got me a gym membership and she can buy me healthy food since its sooo expensve :) blah ive lost 4 lbs but still i feel like im failing
 
hey there..... think maybe the emotions are just getting to you. "why am the only one here on a diet?" " How come its not coming off faster?" Most of us have been there. Hey no worries youll be just fine.........
