need to loose 25lbs (12kgs approx) in 3 months

i am a newbie here. i was 65kgs before 1 year when i got married ( my height is 5feet 5 inches( 170cms)). in this 1 year i have put on 10kgs weight and i now weigh 75kgs thanks to my wife's lovely cooking capabilities. i wanna get back to my old weight as my my birthday is coming up in 3 months and surprise every one. i am a doctor and i can fairly regulate my dietary intake. i have bought myself a motorised treadmill yesterday to start running as my work mostly is sedentary . i have never been into running or exercising before. i have a cervical disc problem so i will not be able to use weights and it is why i prefer walking and running exercises now. so can suggest me a workout plan or regimen in treadmill (week by week / fortnightly or what ever) which i can truely stay commited for 3 months to loose weight. please do reply
