My strange exercise habits

I am a full time student, and work 20+ hours a week so I don't have time to spend running or weight lifting. So I have resorted to doing 100% body weight exercises in my room in the evenings. I even have a pull up bar attached to my bathroom door frame.

Here is my question. When I work out, it is usually for like 15 minutes, but I really push my self to do as much as possible. I go from one exercise to another and don't rest in between. When I am done I am very exhausted...

Is this really bad? I want to lose a little bit of body fat and get a better figure with a little bit of muscle just from body weight workouts. Do I HAVE to spend like an hour to achieve this? Or will my 15 minute extreme killer workout be good enough? I'm too lazy to spend a lot of time on it...

thanks!

Im not an expert and i dont know if its bad (i dont think so ) ... but if i were you , i would have done the same thing :) :cool2::jump1::jumping::luxlove:

YES!... it's bad. You need to let the lactic acid build up in your muscles subdue. That "burn" feeling you get? Yeah that's the lactic acid. The last thing you want to do is KEEP that feeling going.

Now, assuming you push yourself to failure on every set, rest anywhere between 60-90 secs before attempting your next set or your next exercise.

If you also want to lose some body fat... well... you will through proper resistance training... but start adding some interval cardio into your routine.

Many folks here have done it in many different ways... what's worked best for me and my clients is a 3-step interval cardio session first thing in the morning.

It's available through my fitness report on my site. Follow that.

Also, mix **** up. When I say cardio I don't mean just running. Try biking, rollerblading... or even swimming.

Swimming is great. Release your inner fish! ;)

Alright, good luck to ya.

Its not 'bad'...but its not ideal. You're basically doing a light circuit training session.

The main problem is, your body WILL adapt to this routine, and you'll plateau. Gotta keep increasing the resistance, and changing the routine every month or two to prevent stagnation.

Try this one every once in a while:

You can set it up many different ways. For example:
Clubs- burpees
Spades- pull ups
Hearts- bodyweight squats
Diamonds-push ups
